Told Ya: Baby Mama Bristol Palin Will Remain Single Mother, Splits with Baby Daddy

Hate to say it in this instance, but . . . . I told you so.

When I wrote a column about how Bristol Palin remains a single mother--a baby mama--and had no legitimate reason to prolong getting married, several worshippers at the alter of St. Sarahmessiah told me I was wrong, that these two kiddie-parents (the Palin daughter and boytoy Levi Johnston) would be married this summer.

But, you see, I never believed they'd be married. In fact, I thought their engagement was a fiction put on by the Palin family to help win the Presidential election. And, unfortunately, I was right. As I noted, this kid had a very pretentious name ("Tripp Easton Mitchell Johston"), but not what was far more important--a father married to his mother....

But the issue I do care about is who will be the next Republican Presidential nominee. And how so-called social conservatives continue, with a straight face, to praise baby grandmama Sarah Palin (and chose her as their conservative of the year). She was not at home, when the pregnancy happened. She was busy blindly chasing her ambitions. And this is what happens when you have a working mother and a Mr. Mom, i.e., the Palins. Now, Todd Palin can proudly wear a new title, Mr. Grand-Mom....

The only one I feel sorry for here: this kid, who has the misfortune of being born to a single mother in a family that has far more pretensions than actual good values. Good luck, Tripp. You'll need it. For your sake, I wish it were otherwise.

Sorry, kid, but you're just not the luckiest bastard on earth. Or even in Alaska.

(Hmmm . . . am I still allowed to use the word, "bastard"?)...

I am not a feminist so I am not
interested in “validating” Todd
Palin's decision to be the “stay at
home parent”.

So, you don't think it's best for a mother to stay home and care for her toddlers and infants?

I think that if you look at the hundreds (maybe thousands) of studies done you'll see a correlation between a stay at home mom and teen pregnancy (or maybe inverse correlation is a better term.)

I'll admit, I have yet to understand why Palin is held is such high regard by some people. She hasn't articulated any conservative opinions that I've heard (”I like hunting” isn't a conservative opinion.”) I don't hold it against her, but I place no faith in her either. I can't imagine her speaking about the founding fathers and individual liberty the way some conservatives can and that's what we need right now.

Funny thing is, I think the liberal establishment wants us to like her because she's such an easy target. If you put Jindal, or even Limbaugh, in some of those interviews where Palin had her deer-in-the-headlights moments they would chew up the questions and make the interviewer look stupid. She's never going to do that.

I think every candidate that has ever: had an adulterous relationship, fornicated (even in their imagination), did drugs, used alcohol, has had a felony, misdemeanor, divorce, bankruptcy, homosexual encounter, abortion, or a partner who had an abortion, or any spouse, parents, children or grandchildren that have had any of the above, should not be allowed to run for political office.

If they have ever worked for the government, received government benefits, profited from the government in any way, or have had any extended family who have, they should not be allowed to run.

And of course they cannot be an active Christian, Jew, muslim or any other faith including agnostic or atheist. They can never have been a member of a political party other than the one they are currently in. They can never have been a lawyer, lobbyist, salesperson, doctor, farmer, rancher, hunter, oil & gas executive or anything else I can dream up in the next few minutes.

Can’t wait to see who is now eligible to run.

C’mon, you were involved in the over 700 posts
on the thread yesterday that said this was
going to happen.
Whenever anything comes up about Sarah and her
family decisions you guys go nuts.
She will not be a successful national candidate again.

You dolt. Governor Palin is NOT running for any church office or position. She is a duly elected state official. Unless you live in an entirely diiferent universe, the USA still is a representative republic that does not have an official state religion and is governed by citizens not priests.

LOL! At least I didn’t go into detail. Sometimes on these threads it seems that everyone acts as though they are pure as the driven snow, just because they are not in the spotlight. As the song says, “I’m so much cooler on the internet” Except me, of course. ;)

And it just goes on and on.
In the past 24 hours the crazed people
have used the f word, mocked, sneered
and shouted down anyone who thinks that
Sarah and Bristol and the rest of the family
would be better off just living their lives
out of the national spotlight.
It is their choice.

What a hateful little person whose biggest accomplishment is to denigrate a teenage girl who got pregnant and DID NOT abort the baby.

Often people base how they vote on what they believe.

Why do you think from time to time threads get pulled? In most cases because they are either worthless vanities, kooky troll garbage or insulting drivel. This "article" (nothing more than a bunch of snide insults hurled at the Palin family) was posted apparently for no other reason than making a little hit-and-run...

Note: If Coulter written the same thing, I doubt there would be an issue here. And we know what Coulter thinks of single mothers.

There are many on FR bashing or critizising Coulter. IMO she is mostly worth a watch when attacking liberals masterfully, but her latest line, a generalized attack on single mothers is IMO over the top and backfiring. However she has a point, because unlike Schlussel and ilk she puts the blame on the liberal agenda pushing single motherhood and not hurling abuse at a family like Schlussel does. But Ann is pounding too hard on that issue. You cannot seriously suggest that the child of a widowed or divorced wife is better off under an adopting family.
