Hate to say it in this instance, but . . . . I told you so.
When I wrote a column about how Bristol Palin remains a single mother--a baby mama--and had no legitimate reason to prolong getting married, several worshippers at the alter of St. Sarahmessiah told me I was wrong, that these two kiddie-parents (the Palin daughter and boytoy Levi Johnston) would be married this summer.
But, you see, I never believed they'd be married. In fact, I thought their engagement was a fiction put on by the Palin family to help win the Presidential election. And, unfortunately, I was right. As I noted, this kid had a very pretentious name ("Tripp Easton Mitchell Johston"), but not what was far more important--a father married to his mother....
But the issue I do care about is who will be the next Republican Presidential nominee. And how so-called social conservatives continue, with a straight face, to praise baby grandmama Sarah Palin (and chose her as their conservative of the year). She was not at home, when the pregnancy happened. She was busy blindly chasing her ambitions. And this is what happens when you have a working mother and a Mr. Mom, i.e., the Palins. Now, Todd Palin can proudly wear a new title, Mr. Grand-Mom....
The only one I feel sorry for here: this kid, who has the misfortune of being born to a single mother in a family that has far more pretensions than actual good values. Good luck, Tripp. You'll need it. For your sake, I wish it were otherwise.
Sorry, kid, but you're just not the luckiest bastard on earth. Or even in Alaska.
(Hmmm . . . am I still allowed to use the word, "bastard"?)...

"You folks" (plural) is addressed to all those engaging in petty Palin bashing. Not specifically you.
Hard to comprehend?
In what capacity do you serve the Palin campaign? Are you a volunteer ?
Keyboard warrior who donates his money to her cause.
If you are looking for the astroturfing shills, look at the other side of the fight.
I’ve read your posts. You actually state your opinions clearly and with reason. For that, you should be commended.
Maybe you did as well?
In four years we'll meet on this thread. Put it into your bookmarks.
debbie, you two bit schloser....I respect that the young man stood by her through the birth, and I respect their decision that marriage was not right for them.......leave them alone and let them live in peace. they are not fodder to be ridiculed for your pleasure, they are human beings with dignity, who deserve to live their lives in peace from the likes of you.
*shrug* Let's leave it to the Palin family to decide. Not our business.
What was your question? I’m sorry, I must have missed it.
I really don’t have any idea what you mean by that post.
I think that’s pretty clear. And I refuse to let the conservative movement consist of everyone just shut up and follow, don’t think and certainly don’t discuss anything that might be uncomfortable. I don’t like the tactics that come out (name calling, accusing, questioning ones conservative credentials).
You're a lonely voice in the wilderness. Many of your fellow Palin supporters here at FR fully deserve the label "worshippers at the alter of St. Sarahmessiah" used by the author and they no more tolerate dissidence than the most ardent Obamanuts.
I went back, I think you answered it. Thanks!
I actually did already answer that somewhere on this thread. It’s not about whether I think the person’s opinion has merit, it’s about THIS STUFF IS OUT THERE and so we can either discuss it or bury our heads in the sand. And as I recall the stupid rumor about Trig was discussed ad nauseum on this very website.
So, basically, stop telling us what we can and can’t talk about. You are NOT the arbiter of conservatism, and frankly, checking out your pictures, I suspect Gov. Palin, who has plenty of class, would NOT approve of you depicting her flipping someone off. Now, I could be wrong, but she has always shown grace. You really could take a lesson from her.
Nice description of the Palin-haters' tactics.
I try, but these threads get so heated, it’s hard sometimes to tell we’re all on the same team.
Very true. And we’re all guilty of it. Of course, I don’t mind jumping in the mud from time to time- which is what we need to do with liberals, IMHO.
