I hope some of you will be familiar with Tom T. Hall. He is known as one of the best story teller singers ever.
Many years ago, he came to our town and performed on a flat bed truck in trying to get better known. And we were quite a small town. My husband loved to hear Toms little stories in song. Hope you enjoy! Billie, I wish
you could hear these, I know you have trouble viewing YouTube.
I love

I know the first two songs but have never heard the third one. Yes, his songs are just like telling stories. I like the Watermelon Wine song.:)

Vince Gill - Nobody Answers, When I Call Your Name:
I rushed home from work like I always do
I spent my whole day just thinking of you
When I walked through the front door my whole life was changed
Cause nobody answered when I called your name
A note on the table that told me goodbye
It said youd grown weary of living a lie
Your love has ended but mine still remains
But nobody answers when I call your name
Oh the lonely sound of my voice calling
Is driving me insane
And just like rain the tears keep falling
Nobody answers when I call your name
Oh the lonely sound of my voice calling
Is driving me insane
And just like rain the tears keep falling
Nobody answers when I call your name
Oh nobody answers when I call your name
Just noticed this reply to me. Thanks...
I have Windows and Quicktime plays it. I have played everything on this thread and I cannot play that one song...it is a big mystery to me. The Quicktime thingie shows, like it does on all, then a question mark appears in the center of the thingie and silence. You gotta admit, its strange!
Thats why I get mad at computers! I can’t talk back and I can’t smack it....LOL! Now, Elvis would have thrown something through his.....remember those stories about him breaking t.v. sets by throwing something at them?
Yorkie, I truly love that song! Where do you find the words..maybe look for ‘lyrics’....
I like Vince Gill a lot. I heard a great song yesterday when I was in my car. Do not know who the singer was or what the name of the song was. This station just kept playing different songs without announcing who or what in between. I am going to try to find out more about that song some way.
It does seem a bit country to me. What genre do you put him into?
We do have beautiful skies, huh! :D
I love it, too, JC (personal reasons).
Go to google, and type in any line from any song, and then type lyrics after it. You can find anything you are looking for that way
Usually when I find my connection is acting up, I check to see if that dang Quicktime has managed to show up in my startup programs again, and sure enough it is there. I don't need any resource hogs! LOL
Good stuff, guys! Thanks for the entertainment! :D
One all to himself! LOL! No, actually, that guitar reminds me of strolling Mariaches. It just has that kind of feel to it. :)
We do have beautiful skies, huh! :DOnly a West Texan would think so. At least when we drive across the whole Western part of Texas, you can see forever 'cause there ain't no tall trees to git in your way. :)
It’s good stuff! This has been a fun day, Billie!
Will be back later tonight to check pings and say goodnight. :)
