We cannot think like how Skinheads think, and act like what Supremacists do, putting this country to shame. They killed Joseph Ileto, a postal immigrant worker who supported his family in the hard struggle to one day realize their American Dream, to serve notice to the world that immigrants should stop coming to this country and “steal” their jobs.

Two totally separate issues:

I... Immigration
....(a) Legal
....(b) Illegal

II...Racism
....(a) Reject it
....(b)Wallow in it

The correct stands to take on these two separate issues are I (a) and II (a) and they are not mutually exclusive.

The fanatics on both sides will focus only on I (b) and II (b) and blend them into a single issue.

What? The post office is filled with illegals and people who can barely speak English. Anyone killing people is worng but American taxpayers should get jobs before illegals and yes they ARE stealing jobs from American workers.

Ed’s educational background includes degrees in literature and journalism, philosophy & letters [Litt.B. Journalism]; master in development economics, and master in civil law [M.A. Economics and LLM]. He was a UN-World Bank-ILO scholar that specialized on monetary and fiscal policies, multilateral trade negotiations and regional economic cooperation. His careers in private and public life cover long years of experience as a journalist, lawyer, Finance Attache, ASEAN specialist, retired diplomat and former deputy permanent representative to the United Nations

Oh, I see. An open borders plant from the UN. I bet he learned his "one world" policies from the best at the UN whose sole job, it seems, is to take money from the U.S.

In the article he claims to be a statistician. ("Statistical manipulation of this kind cannot escape the notice of one who was once a statistician in the RP bureau of census many years ago. Statistics never lies, unless you put something into it to make it lie.") But his studies are Journalism, Philosophy and Literature.

I’m willing to play along, but first get someone to translate this into readable English. It’s hard to believe the author won an award for writing in any language, and if his reasoning on the economic virtues of illegal immigration is equally sloppy, he should be ignored. As far as statistics go, the end result is never any better than the data put in. We are witnessing part of that data with the housing boom and bust. Subsidized labor has a number of hidden expenses that come back to hurt us. As for massive immigration in general, it is interesting to note that the United States went through an incredible period of growth from the 1940s to the 1970s, and during that time we had very restrictive immigration policies, nothing like we have now. That isn’t an argument for or against immigration, but it puts things in a perspective that is often ignored by the open borders crowd.

It is illustrative of the state of journalism and the criteria for award-giving that a writer of such nebulous prose can be an award winner.

What I find interesting is that some of the most anti-illegal people are legal immigrants themselves. My wife and mother in law are both legal immigrants and they are more anti-illegal than me. I guess when you have to jump thru so many hoops to become a citizen, it makes you angry to see people cheat.

What's this "we" crap? Is that how you think and this is your way of expressing your guilt?

It's difficult to make headway through your turgid prose.

Are you suggesting that proponents of controlled and legal immigration are soulmates of Skinheads?

We love Third World immigrants they are warm, rich, deep, they have proper relations with their families, they are kind to their dog. They invented everything that makes civilized life worth living. They will be just the same in their home countries and they should return there. The USA is not going to be a Third World hell hole!

You know, almost none of this makes sense, there seems to be something missing in each sentence, i.e.:

“We can be our own Democrat or Republican if we want to. What we do not want are Liberals or Democrats that make lies sound truthful and murder out of want respectable.”

“But the cost of de-immigration outweighs the cost of policing our borders and legalizing those who are already here that had become integral members of our democratic but demographically porous society, as well as the continuing funding of our welfare programs that had been existing in this country since time immemorial … that means even before today’s pinheads began to solve this immigration problem the Orwellian way where immigrants get killed because they want to stop immigration.”

Still, I believe what you are trying to say is that we should close the door on future parasites but learn to live with the ones eating away at us now.?

From your About Me page:

“This writer is a veteran diplomat-journalist for more than 45 years and a recipient of excellence awards in journalism. He is a former Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations; he is also an economist, a lawyer and an ASEAN specialist on fiscal policy and regional industrial cooperation. His editorial insights appear in other publications and published in several websites.”

I’m at a loss to reconcile this with what you wrote at the top of this thread.

To bullyrag immigrants undocumented or not is tantamount to committing murder.

Tantamount to committing murder? OK.

But to NOT bullyrag some undocumented "immigrants" IS ACTUAL MURDER -- daily!

What are we? No better than potted plants in Sumcad's eyes? Mr. Sumcad. He's some cad all right. He started the name calling.

[Just one day without ILLEGAL aliens would mean:] There would be no one to smuggle across our southern border the heroin, marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamines that plague the United States, reducing the U.S. supply of meth that day by 80%. The lives of 12 U.S. citizens would be saved who otherwise die a violent death at the hands of murderous illegal aliens each day. Another 13 Americans would survive who are otherwise killed each day by uninsured drunk driving illegals. Our hospital emergency rooms would not be flooded with everything from gunshot wounds, to anchor babies, to imported diseases to hangnails, giving American citizens the day off from standing in line behind illegals. Eight American children would not suffer the horror as a victim of a sex crime.

We must accept reality. The naturalization process is not free

Right again! The criminals among the precious ILLEGAL immigrants have cost thousands of lives -- we have enough murderers among our citizens and legal residents. WE DO NOT NEED MORE!

a terrible amnesia of what America – the country of immigrants -- is all about

I went to school in America long, long ago. In those days America was a Nation of laws not men -- stop ignoring the law, then change the law if the Nation wishes, then open the gates wide to all! It ain't rocket science.
