Freepers if any of you work with Flash or are game designers I have an idea to share with you.
If you can picture in your mind's eye a video game or flash animation where we can toss pitchforks at certain members of congress. I can think of a few names and have pictured in my mind the appropriate audio files that would play those elected officials were "tagged" so to speak.
Actually the design of the game could be a freeper collaboration. Freepers could select which politicians deserve to play with us. I have an idea that if done correctly it might go viral rather quickly. Perhaps we could develop a Wii version as well to inspire physical fitness among the younger crowd.
The more I think about it would not a world championship be a hoot! I can picture the winner receiving the golden pitchfork.
Comments Please...

someone made a game in which you throw your shoe at Bush.
anything to stick it to the politicians......
It wouldn’t be that hard to make. I have a sample from a Flash class many years ago where you throw pumpkins at a flying witch, it would be very easy to just swap out the images in the library with a pitchfork and a congressman. I’ll see if I can find it..
If anyone can find the original .swf to that, I have a decompiler that turns it back into a .fla, we can then just modify that one.. no need to recreate the wheel.
Let’s see Reid, FWANK, Pelosi, Dodd, with bonus points for RINO’s.
If you want to get some media attention, swap the pitchforks with nooses and swap the congressmen with Obama.
I kinda envision a shouting crowd with torches and pitchforks waiting for the politicans you suggested coming out on the capitol steps and the crowd lets fly with a pitchfork. Sounds great to me. I would buy the game in a NY minute.
.
Watch it there, vob. The feds will probably track you down and arrest you for threats against public officials!
I’d always advocate a game where each level has an end boss, like Pelosi, Reid, etc. Of course, Obama is at the last level, and he can blast you with red commie laser beams and what not. LOL!
Why doesn’t someone do an update to the classic video game “Leisure Suit Larry”, only this time starring a mulatto State Senator from Chicago and the infamous Larry Sinclair.
come again?
You have to dodge the spit from Bonny Fwank's lisp, shoot botox into Pelosi' cheeks until they explode, and dodge Hillary's thunder thighs.
John Kerry throws Purple Heart medals at you, which you have to pick up, dust off, and defeat him by making him shoot himself in the foot, at which time you return the medals to their proper owners.
In the next level you have to sneak up on Joe Biden without letting him knock off your ear protection, or else you fall asleep to his incessant droning.
Once you make it to Obama (who is guarded by teamsters and white college-age Hope/Change zombies), you have to counter his empty rhetoric until he's stuck in an endless loop of "uh uh uh...", then you have to steal his birth certificate, which is kept inside a giant ACORN guarded by Bill Ayers, and deliver it to Rush Limbaugh.

Perhaps if the game was made with a generic boss, and a generic thing the boss throws at you, one could simply substitute the appropriate politicians and projectiles (ie, Barney Frank and spit, John Kerry and Purple Hearts, Dennis Kucinich and UFO’s, etc) it would make coding a whole lot simpler. Maybe a mashup of the two ideas, where one has to throw pitchforks and dodge projectiles at the same time, might work? Or one has to throw pitchforks until a certain number of generic minions are defeated and then the boss comes out?
Now, I’ve done enough Flash game development to know that I’m almost useless in the graphics department (the exception is I can design snazzy-looking menu screens and credits) and worse than useless when it comes to programming. However, I’ve discovered that I thoroughly enjoy mixing, editing, and even creating sound effects and background or menu music, and I have a good understanding of music theory so I can make reasonable-sounding stuff if copyright-free music is required. So, if anyone does get around to making this game, let me know cause I’m volunteering my audio techie skills =P
Techie/gamer Ping.
I’m looking for some tech help also.
Hey Zepplin, nothingnew is right.. I just do that to come back to it later.. I really had nothing to say (I guess I do now) and found the thread interesting...
I gotcha...I’ve screwed up before by overwriting an entire post with a typo and submitting, then kicking myself...I thought that was what you may have done...my mistake!
