Is Obama The Next Jimmy Carter? (confession from Obama that "I screwed up" )

Polling still shows that many Americans like their new president. But polling also shows that the Democratic Congress, starting with an out-of-control House of Representatives, has managed in less than two weeks to create a scenario that could permanently cripple the Obama presidency. The mess of a so-called stimulus package it passed on to the Senate became toxic with critically important independent voters so quickly that now a rework in the Senate is unlikely to reverse the bill's unpopularity.

More distressing for President Obama is that expectations of an immediate boost from stimulus legislation, which he has been desperately trying to manage, remain. And that's regardless of how many times the president warns that recovery will not come soon. But with so many organizations, state governments, special interests and scared and financially ruined people expecting relief, Obama has been placed in a no-win situation.

He screwed up.

However, I like that fact that he admits that he screwed up.

Actually, I think Obama may make people long for the days of the Carter Administration. After 2 weeks, it’s obvious that the man is in over his head.

Exactly. Carter would never have admitted it.

This is Kabuki theater, Bambi style. Much chatter and waving of hands but little accomplishment.

All well and good, but if he was serious, he would demand this bill be pulled, and the House start all over again, and produce a real stimulus bill, not this political payoff program that it actually is.

That would be Leadership.

Don’t hold your breath.

Yes - and just like Jimmy Carter, Obambi is setting himself up so that he will have to go a couple of rounds with the Iranians.

The over-used cliche about History being played twice, once as a tragedy and once as a comedy - The only thing with Iran is, which will Obambi’s be?

Yeah, an idiot that knows he’s an idiot may be an improvement over one who remains oblivious to being one ( an thinking of Jimmy).

Obama will screw up worse than Carter but the difference will be the media will be on his side no matter what happens.

Obama has never been in charge of anything. At least Carter had been a governor. Obama is and will be a disaster especially on the foreign policy front—just like Carter.

I think he’ll turn out far worse than Jimmy and do much more damage to the US than the peanut ever dreamed of.

Hire a street walker get a street walker. In fact this minstrel man even brought his own hat and cane for his shuck and jive act.

Actually, that's what he needs to get the sheeple's mind off the bad economy. Remember, Jimmy's approval ratings got a temporary boost early in the hostage situation, enough of a temporary boost to cover up his economic screw-ups.

I said it yesterday...Peter's Principle

If you make it to the Senate and constantly vote "Present"...It means you don't know NOR DO YOU CARE about what you're doing.

Apparently, he tried to start a fire in one of the fireplaces. Apparently, he didn’t have brains enough to check the flue...It got a little smokey and then a lot smokey...and then help arrived. How dumb can you get??
