Lindy was only four weeks old when I first saw her, and I had the breeder put red fingernail polish on one of her toenails, to make sure no body else got her, when she was ready to leave her mommy. (The breeder couldn’t tell the pups apart - can you believe that?)
And, oh. You can’t have her. LOL

Then Almitra spoke, saying, "We would ask now of Death."
And he said:
You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.
Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.
Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour.
Is the shepherd not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?
Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?
For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.
Khalil Gibran

Is it better to have a turkey on your patio or a turkey in the straw?
It’s 17º at 1 pm. By Sunday it will have climbed to the low 50s and we’ll get a break with 40s for a number of days. It in now way means our winter will end in February just because it started two months early no matter how fair that would be. LOL!

Dolly! What a storm that must have been! When I lived in Ohio, I remember some doozies - but this one seems like a real bad one! I am praying your roof stays in tact. (((Dolly)))

Good Morning all.
I am saddened to bring some more sad news and once again ask for prayer.
My niece had a double mastecomy 20 years ago.She has been fine and cancer free for all those years.
She developed a terrible cough a month ago. Thinking that is was from viruses going around the doctor “ diagnosed” it as “ pneumonia”. She was hospitalized yesterday and they did a CAT scan. The result is she has a masticized (sp?) tumor on the lung, one on her liver and another on her breast. One of her lungs has collapsed. She is having difficulty breathing even with oxygen.
It looks like her cancer has returned and with a vengence. She is the daughter of my sister Darlene, who was just diagnosed herself, with breast cancer last week.
We are all feeling overwhelmed right now.
Please pray for comfort and peace for us all. Unless the oncologist has something positive to say, it looks as if my niece will not be with us long.

Happy Thursday, Meg. Your snowy graphic is beautiful
Are those turkeys or pheasants?
Looks like turkeys but I'm not sure.
Enjoy your springlike day.
