When Naomi said that she wanted to celebrate Christmas and Thanksgiving, etc., it was a 'clue' as to what religion her parents practiced.
The look on his face when those parents were explaining their beliefs was hysterical! You could just SEE his mind spinning. I won't post here what I just knew were his thoughts! LOL!

Yes, I have photofiltre but I have never used it. I always use photoshop, so I am not sure how how photofiltre works. I opened it up long enough to see that he has some pretty impressive tools for being a “free” program, but don’t have any idea how it makes frames.

I had the SAME thing happen! The only ruby-throated one I ever saw here and he was mean and selfish and loud! LOL!
I wonder if he makes the rounds among us! LOL!
My other hummers were mighty glad when he moved on! :D

Any sense of tranquility at your hummingbird feeders is immediately lost when a Rufous Hummingbird shows up. While your hummingbird feeder has more than enough food for all of the hummingbirds in your yard, Rufous Hummingbirds will lay claim to your yard, and your feeder, and will vigorously defend the feeder with aerial battles, chases, tail fanning—and a lot of chatter. If you could translate the chatter from a male Rufous, he would probably be saying something like Bring it on!

Its hard to believe that such a little bird can be such a big bully. What a Rufous Hummingbird lacks in size is made up in attitude! They are like flying Tasmanian
Devils! Dont let the diminutive size (3.75 inches long weighing in at 3.4 grams) fool you. They may be small, but they are not fragile. These are hardy, tough birds that can endure extreme weather conditions and marathon migrations.
Rufous Hummingbirds migrate further than any other hummingbird species in North America. They winter in Mexico and Central America, and breed as far north as Western Canada and Eastern Alaska. In relation to its body length, Rufous Hummingbirds have the longest migration of any bird in the world.

The look on his face when those parents were explaining their beliefs was hysterical! Wasn't that funny??? He was trying so hard to keep the smile on his face, but Naomi's mother was sooooo off-the-wall strange that he just couldn't keep up the front. LOL
And her dad was just a bit frightening, IMO! They both came on way too strong and they didn't help Naomi's cause at all. LOL. Although, I don't think it was only because of her family that she didn't get a rose. I think Jason just didn't think she was ready to take on the responsibilies of an instant family.
I have company coming in from Missouri tomorrow. I have got to get off of this computer and get this house in order!! I want to stay and play!

I thought he was going to get physically ill, when he heard that Naomi’s mother had put a dead dove (that had flown into her windshield) in the REFRIGERATOR! Then, when the kid brought it out, in the paper sack, I was rolling on the floor with disblief! LOLOL!!!

I am really glad that they don't hang around long before they move on to green pastures. LOL. I really felt badly for my other hummers, although, I keep feeders on three sides of the house. There was no way this bully Rufous could commandeer all three feeders at the same time.
TTYL, ladies. I have a house to clean!
