Oh, Pippin! I would have pinged you if I had known you were awake. I have his CD “IZ”, and when I play it, it has a very soothing effect. Many people here on the Mainland have never even heard of him. (Everyone in Hawaii has.) Smile.

I was looking on St Louie1's profole page to see when his last post was.
I kinda was hoping he would still be around. but his last post was back in September of last year.
Is he okay or is he just really busy.
I miss his posts.

Thank you for Opening the doors with your beautiful Graphic and Scripture, Meg.
You are such a gracious hostess. Thank you for being here on Sundays.
I appreciate you.
I had hoped to get here earlier today.
We went to the memorial service for my cousin this afternoon.
There were so many cousins and other relatives and ex-relatives that I had not seen for ages.
We all regretted that funerals are the only time we get together anymore.
It was impossible to leave early; so many memories to share.

Somethings Wrong With Harry
A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance. Proverbs 15:13
Every morning Harry, a Christian, walked into his office singing a song from the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical Oklahoma: Oh, what a beautiful morning; oh, what a beautiful day! I got a beautiful feeling, everythings going my way!
But one morning, he forgot to sing. Harry soon noticed that something was wrong at the office; everyone around him seemed on edge. When he finally asked a co-worker what was wrong, she replied, You didnt sing this morning, and we thought you were upset!
Harry had become known for such a cheerful, positive spirit that his co-workers were sure something was wrong with him that morning. Harry hadnt realized how closely people were watching him, and he resolved from then on always to come to work singing.
First Peter 2 reminds us that people are observing our lives (vv.11-12). To be good representatives of Jesus Christ, Peter teaches that were to be submissive to authority, to live an honorable life, to do good works, to honor all people, and to fear God (vv.12-17).
The testimony of our lives can give us opportunities to share the good news of Jesus. So we might want to ask ourselves, What do people see in me?
Help me to sing a joyful song
For those bowed down with care,
A song of hope and freedom
For those in dark despair. Andrews

Years ago I wrote a epitaph a friend requested, he wanted it written as a poem. Yesterday, I officiated at his funeral and read his poem. It was a reminder of the temporary nature of life, and the journey yet to come. He lived a long life and shared his humor and wit with all freely. It was to enrich others that he lived, and in doing so he touched so many, often with out knowing them.
We should do half so well.
To Travel On
Weep not so in grief for me
but carry me to the sounding sea
A simple wake I ask is all
for I’ve heard the Master’s call
A new world aborning
where I am bound its eternal morning
I wait there to welcome you
so until then remember me in all you do

I really like that, well said.
We only here for a short time, the rest is to be spent with the Lord in Eternity.
Thank you.

A very good lesson in today’s Daily Bread, Mr. Mayor! If we all could be so cheerful we never know who could be touched!
Thanks for this lesson and have a “beautiful morning”...!
To: WayzataJOHNN
Nice little story, Johnn, and the poem, too! Thank you...

Isn't it a shame that we only see many relatives at funerals..but it is always wonderful to see them despite the sad occasion. Condolences for the loss of your cousin, Amy

Mornin Jaycee... After I posted this I went and sang the song to my wife, she hadn’t read it yet. I just told her that she would understand after.
She did and I knew it when I heard her singing in the other room. : )
