I am so pleased to hear that Doggie is doing well. She looks like just the sweetest dog ever, and it is wonderful that she has turned into such a good watch dog.
My goodness, she likes turtles for breakfast, huh? I know it's hard to watch the reality of 'survival of the fittest' playing out in nature, and I have to remind myself that it is God's plan and keeps nature in balance. But it is hard to see....and NO predators better come near my scrub jays, not now that they have names and are eating out of my hand. Kitty, just don't name the turtles. It's so much easier that way. :-(
After she Caught and Ate one of the Squirrels, we put an Extra Name Tag on her Collar, so Now she Jingles with Every Step she takes. Hopefully that will Give Warning to whatever she has her Eye on that she is Approaching!

Living in the country I see nature at work everyday.
Yesterday we watched Mr Mittens catch, play with and eat a field mouse.
I could not watch him steal baby birds last spring. tho.
It didn't seem very fair that he stole them from their nests. :(
I know he took several but anytime I saw him with one, I took it away from him.
My Kitty I Used to have, named Fang-Face, used to Catch and Eat Mice, but I only saw him with just One Bird, and I Ran to Make him Let it Go, but he had Already Killed it. :( It was my Male Cardinal that Always Ate at my Bird Feeder. :( I Took the Poor Bird and Buried him in a Little Shoebox.

Was she on her own for awhile? I am wondering if she had to learn to hunt to survive. That would explain her good hunting abilities. My lab that we had from the time he was eight weeks old wouldn't think of eating anything that wasn't put in his dish, but he never had to learn how to hunt.
The extra name tag was a good idea. Won't help the turtles much, but it should be a good alert for the other critters to be able to hear her coming.

I Took the Poor Bird and Buried him in a Little Shoebox. You have such a gentle heart, Kitty Mittens. :-)
To: Lady Jag
Sending you hugs, Lady J. I know this was a very hard day for you. My sympathies to you and your family.

Thank you, Dear FRiend. And you Do, too, to take the Time and Patience to Train the Jays to Eat from your Hand. : )

Yes; Someone Dumped her Here in the Country, so she Probably had to Catch her Own Food for Awhile. I Hope she won't Catch Any More Squirrels; I've Even Seen her Run Towards Birds, Trying to Catch them, but So Far, they have Eluded her, Thank Goodness!

Thanks for the lovely graphics and words, y’all!
Had a really good one, and I’m taking today off, going out tonight for steak.
Have y’all seen those “Land of Beef” ads in magazines? LOL MY kind of place! Whoever thought up those ads is a genius!

Happy Saturday! We MAY get into the 60’s today and that would be a heat wave for me. So much to do but I must do what you and I love...bookwork! As soon as I get straightened up, I will begin that loathsome job. LOL~~
