I am forming a Conservative group here in the Bay Area starting in 2-3 weeks. We have approximately 15 people who are going to meet and be a sounding board to the outlandish liberalism happening in our nation.
Some of my fellow FReepers live in red states, we live in the Berkeley/SF 'belly of the beast' and need an outlet for our sanity.

No Libs, no RINO's and no relatives of John F. Kennedy.

Yes, and you have Madison.
I had a lecture from my brother-in-law’s fat, Liberal girlfriend over the weekend.
She teaches (3 months off per year) and she says tax the rich and she would like to live in Boulder, Madison or Seattle.
Maggots love Communism, in theory.
And no Michael Savage.
I know how you feel. I live in the center of Hollywood surrounded by Prius-driving pu**ies with their mandatory Obama car stickers, and the weekly hissy-fit protests from the gaywad crowd due to prop 8.
I don’t live there, but I wish you the best of luck. Occasional gatherings of like minded folks might help morale at the least.
‘belly of the beast’
LOL.... I’m thinking it’s more like bowels than belly.
I wish you well... I sure couldn’t live there.
you need to get out, ASAP.
Good luck with your conservative group idea. You may be surprised how many come out of nowhere to join your group. Many conservatives stay silent thinking they are in the minority.
ping-a-roni, the SF FR treat...
yes there are those of us who live in the bay area, im a teacher too, and I told a friend of mine about the two other jobs that I have and my plans for a summer job. He said, “Why should you get another job. You should make enough money in this your career.” I said “We have 3 months off.” He said
“But we work past 3 on most days” I have had private sector jobs, and this is the thinking of the people who have never had a job that demands results.
Hey, Martin... here’s one for the silicon valley ping list. Maybe we should call ourselves “The Voices in the Wilderness”.
Most conservatives stay quiet because they don’t want to get their car keyed or their house graffiti’d, fired from their jobs or passed over for raises and promotions, called bigots, racists, ‘phobes, or nazis by the fascist hypocrites who claim to stand for tolerance and inclusion but allow for no possible reality but their own.
I lived in the Bay Area when I was a kid. My Dad still gets angry at some of the things he would see there.
In LA it was all Bush Derangement Syndrome. Green. Green. Green all the time. It is here too but boy it is a delight to see strong conservatives standing up for what they believe in! Thank you Jesus :-D.
I would be awesome to get a bunch of us Santa Barbara conservatives together. I would love to me just one Freeper from my area. How cool would that be? Very!
I used to live in LA, I actually financed the Trader Joe’s on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. What a freakshow, akin to the Castro here, where no one (MSM) ever speaks of the outright drug, disease and violence that happens in these “diverse” areas.
As Ann Coulter said (sic) the Left preaches collectivism, all while encouraging anarchy.
Just an FYI, I wasn’t bashing teachers, my Mom is a 12th grade teacher currently...so was my Dad...anyway, the woman I was referencing gets out at 3:20 PM, plays soccer and softball in leagues, runs, lifts weights and lays around all summer.
She had the balls to say, “Tax the rich” and I replied, “because they didn’t earn it.”
Ok that’s mean. Now you’re making me jealous of your new digs!:)
That’s OK. Someone has to live in this hellhole...
It is one bottomless freakshow, you are right. But there are worse places to live like Berkeley, West Hollywood or Castro District in SF. That’s my silver lining.
I didn’t take it as teacher bashing. I think I bash teachers more than anyone I know, and I am one. So are a lot of my good friends. But surprisingly, at least to me, a lot of the teachers I talk to are actually opposed to teacher tenure.
