Now there is an American treasure and the only example of talent being passed down in the genes. From N. C. Wyeth to Andrew Wyeth to Jamie Wyeth, over 100 years of great art. I have never seen another family produce three consecutive generations of artistic genius the way this family has.

Sad news. My husband’s parents were friends of his sister Henriette Wyeth and her husband Peter Hurd. A really talented bunch of people.

Same here. Mr. Detra, a HS teacher of mine, would not be happy with me for not knowing!

Wyeth was one of the few whose work I actually considered art. I was very critical in my "art appreciation" class. Thankfully, Mr. Detra was cool with opposing viewpoints.
