Dirk Vander Ploeg, the Publisher of UFO Digest, recently asked me if I knew of alien abductions having been stopped by the utterance of the name of Jesus. He told me that 'apparently this information is being withheld by Mufon and other reporters, investigators etc.'
I reminded him that I had written about the possibility of such occurrences in several articles including, Extraterrestrials Tremble at the Name of Jesus, UFO Digest March 29, 2007, and more recently The Birth of Christ caused the Extraterrestrial Extraterrestrials Tremble at the Name of Jesus, UFO Digest March 29, 2007, and more recently The Birth of Christ caused the Extraterrestrial Fallen Angels to Tremble December 3, 2008.
The word of God tells us that demons (as well as fallen angels, i.e. extraterrestrials) tremble at the name of Jesus (James 2:19) because God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above all names (Philippians 2:9). At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow of those on the earth, and those under the earth and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10).
My own article last year, My Anonymous CIA Source: The Real Story of UFOs, UFO Digest, 6/16/08, revealed that my source in Washington who worked for the CIA for 25 years after working, I believe, for the top secret Operation Paperclip after WWII which brought Nazi scientists to America, some of whom were supposedly involved in flying saucer research, and who was in charge of security for President Kennedys visit to Germany in the early sixties, and was confidant to later Presidents, told me to stay with my UFO writings about the Bible. He then told me that you have the truth. All else is opinion. This statement from a man whom I trust and who served in the highest echelons.
Probably depends on our definitions.
The woman Hopkins wrote a book or two about . . . I forget her name . . . and the books . . . let me think . . . Linda? C? had a long series of abductions with very strange experiences atypical even for high strangeness.
Anyway—she had a reputation as a solid even Pentecostal Christian.
However, IIRC, Guy Malone investigated the details and at one point, SHE INVITED such goings on misconstruing them as angelic etc. Satan and cohorts are always quite happy for such invitations. They give him access even for believers, imho.
Reportedly RC’s and Jews are under-represented in abductees. Have never read why.
You said — “I suppose. I don’t see 0bama as a living god, for example.”
Yes..., that could be a good example of mass hysteria of a different kind. It’s a mass hysteria of “idealogy” (and mass foolishness, no doubt...).
But, it’s not quite the same thing as *seeing something* — as if it were a real physical object in front of you (as if you’re looking at a plane or a person). That’s a different sort of “mass hysteria” that some psychologists say is involved with large groups of people suddenly seeing *objects* in the sky, or objects landing, or being coming out of objects, and so on...
I can more readily believe “mass hysteria” in terms of “idealogy” — as we all deal with different idealogies (i.e., abstract thoughts), all the time. I can more readily “buy” the idea that someone’s “abstract thoughts” are wrong — than I can “buy” the idea that large groups and masses of people (who are not even in the same proximity with one another) see the very same objects at the very same time. That doesn’t lend itself to well, to me..., having to do with this so-called “mass hysteria”...
I hope you see what I mean...
I had a friend who was out in the mountains in West Texas around Alpine, and they decided to spend the night in the mountains and look for UFOs in the clear night sky. He said they were laying out there and hoping, hoping, hoping they’d see a UFO, and then suddenly there was a star that was moving all over the place, and freakign them out, and then it started coming toward them, getting bigger and bigger until it was like the size of a quarter in the sky, and suddenly he was hoping, hoping, hoping that they would NOT see a UFO, and then it flew away.
Your assertion is
thoroughly and wholesale abject
WRONG.
There are now 100’s if not thousands of cases asserting otherwise.
All the best researchers have affirmed otherwise.
Personal experiences of folks known to me affirm otherwise.
I suggest some extensive and solid research before fingering off such a silly assertion.
You may find some of my pontifications above of interest.

Okay, I know that there are those who are saying that there could be other created beings and civilizations out there, that God did create. I just don’t buy it, because even though the Bible doesn’t say specifically *not* — it doesn’t say, either, specifically so. And you’re saying that arguing from silence is not a good argument. Well, maybe so, but that’s where I’m at (and that it doesn’t fit well with the entire “construct” of the Bible’s “thinking” and how it’s all put together) ... That’s just me and my thinking from what I see of the Bible... LOL...
In regards to this — “I didnt know that mental health professionals had noted a big increase in such clients. Id love to read the references on that, if anyone has them.”
Well, yes.., I’ve read it elsewhere, and in several different places, over a period of time. I never bothered questioning it, because I had no reason to and I wasn’t really that interested in it, anyway. I mean, I’m not going to these kinds of professionals and I’m not getting hypnotized and so on... :-)
I would like to give you those references, but I can’t remember where and when. I’m sure others can come up with it.
RIGHT, The Andreasson Affair.
As I understood it from Guy Malone—she gave the critters an invitation to be involved with her and to continue their involvement.
Lots of folks plaster a “Christian” label on themselves or others without any valid consideration or faithful action putting CHRIST FIRST in their lives or even in accepting Him as their True Lord and Savior; confessing, repenting of their sins etc.
Folks also need to recall the Biblical mandate to test the spirits—do they confess that Christ came in the flesh etc. or not?
I don’t recall if Missler is on Guy Malone’s DVD’s or not. But Guy has a long list of excellent experts on the topic from the Biblical and historical perspectives. His materials are well worth a generous donation.
I’ve read folks who insist that
ALL
UFO CRAFT
are merely materializations of demons.
I don’t believe that. It’s conceivable that some are.
Certainly some have seemed to be alive and shape shift as a creature.
However, my relative did not work around critters that were craft. He worked around tangible craft that were engineered, designed, built—though some say—grew.
Oh..., I just saw this above, about your comment — “I didnt know that mental health professionals had noted a big increase in such clients. Id love to read the references on that, if anyone has them.”
It’s post #31, and it says, in part —
There seems to be a growing concern within the psychiatric community from the strange (and far too frequent) reports from people who claim to have been “abducted” by the occupants of UFOs. These reports are too bizarre to accept, and yet too frequent-and consistent-to ignore. What is particularly disturbing is the estimate from some national polls that as much as 3% of the population may be involved!
Perhaps the most well-known researcher in this area is Dr. John E. Mack, who is professor of psychiatry at The Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School. A contributor to over 150 articles in professional (peer-reviewed) journals and a former Pulitzer Prize winner, he certainly appears to have impressive credentials.
He has been involved in almost a hundred of these cases personally, and has shocked the professional community by declaring that he believes these beings may be real and that they appear to have an agenda to develop a hybrid race!12
At a professional conference on abductions at M.I.T., Dr. Mack asked the provocative question, “If what these abductees are saying is happening to them isn’t happening, then what is?”13
Could all this involve a return to the strange events of “the Days of Noah?”
That’s a start towards the answer for your question...
Good points imho.
Personally,
I don’t think Tribulation has started.
The Birth pangs before it—yes.
I think the AC will be overtly and widely known at the beginning of the Great Tribulation.
“reputation as a solid even Pentecostal Christian.”
No offense, but that doesn’t say a whole lot. Pentacostalism covers a wide spectrum.
“Reportedly RCs and Jews are under-represented in abductees. Have never read why.”
Dont know about RC’s. But my secret source said that Jews complain too much. Make the whole trip miserable for everybody.
You said — “However, my relative did not work around critters that were craft. He worked around tangible craft that were engineered, designed, builtthough some saygrew.”
Okay..., so you’re forming your opinion on these other civilizations from the information you have from another person who is a relative, is that it? I vaguely seem to remember some talk about this idea before, but I didn’t remember who it was. It might have been you.
I guess you’re saying you have some first-hand-witness testimony (by way of your relative) that has seen these things...?
Cases showing that extra-terrestrials are Biblical demons or fallen angels?
Nonsense.
SnakeDoc
Thanks. Good points, imho.
If you believe that everything in the universe was created by a divine Creator, then that would include sentient species on other planets.
It is, IMO, pretty arrogant to believe that the divine Creator did not give such beings the same chance to be saved that he did to humans.
Full disclosure- I’m an Agnostic, so I don’t really believe in the Bible. However, I think what I wrote above makes logical sense- the sentient inhabitants of Alpha Centauri (or wherever) would be just as much made in the image of the Creator as humans.
IIRC,
our UFO ping list has more than 150 members.
I suspect the vast majority of them believe such things.
FOR GOOD, WELL RESEARCHED REASONS.
Some FREEPERS have had very close encounters.
SOME FREEPERS have worked in highly classified situations where they learned of such quite seriously, authentically.
You said — “Not a reliable source.”
Well, I wouldn’t so easily dismiss a source, because a certain idea presented doesn’t agree with your own view of what may have happened.
In referencing another area of study — being Christianity, for example — keep in mind, if we did that within Christian circles with everyone, we would dismiss just about every other Christian around, because one particular idea of what the Bible says, or in another area of the Bible was different than our idea — we then dismiss everything else they say on other parts of the Bible. I wouldn’t do that with other Christians.
And for that matter, we don’t do that with other people “in real life” either.
FOR EXAMPLE — how many people are *dismissing* Berg (for his court case against Obama and his qualifications) — just because Berg *also has* a court case against Bush because Berg says that President Bush is complicit in the 9/11 attacks on America. LOL....
No, many of the posters here are simply ignoring what they don’t agree with Berg about, and going along with what they do agree with Berg about. They have not attacked Berg as being “an unreliable source” for Obama’s qualifications, even though they disagree with Berg about Bush being complicit in the 9/11 attacks on America.
