They could do it if they wanted to. Two singers per segment, minimize the chit-chat, maybe even skip the judges comments until the end since they’ll decide anyway and not have to influence the audience.
The judges may have their three picked out already, maybe allow a change or two depending on performances.

Oh, that is so disappointing...but really he should have known better-he is pretty well known due to the show-did he think this wasn’t going to get out there? Kate will be even more snarky to him now!He probably wants to get caught so she kicks him out. From just the little snippets I've seen, I couldn't imagine living with her.
