Up first will be Von Smith.
And in the pimp spot, as predicted, Lil Rounds.
They're not even trying not to show favoritism.
To: retrokitten
I thought he was pretty good. He’s got a nice voice and he seems like a nice guy.

Von Smith
He's known for screaming his songs, and he doesn't disappoint tonight. It's not too bad though.
I didn't catch the name of the song. "You're all I need to get by ..."
Randy: Yo, Von! The last couple of weeks have started off kinda rough. But this is the way to start off a show! You're finding yourself.
Kara: You're coming into your own. Good job.
Paula: Really hard being first. America is going to remember you being first. Just loved your performance.
Simon: You remdind me of Clay Aiken (he means it as a compliment) You look appalling, but you sang quite well. Your voice and the way you perform, you remind me of Clay. I think that can be a good thing.

He wasn’t my favorite, but considering I expected him to be horrendous, he wasn’t bad.

He DOES NOT remind me of Clay Aiken. He reminds me a little bit. Kind of girly and teenybopperish. If the Jonas Bro's needed anudder brudder...

It always concerns me when the female contestants sound (and look in some cases) more masculine than the alleged males.
To: retrokitten
Hi there! The first one was much better tonight than he was in Hollywood.
To: retrokitten
After the disaster that last week’s show was, Von started this week’s off rather well. I’m betting Lil Rounds will end it well too...what’s in between, who knows?

I didn’t care for Kat’s new hair do. I like the long, flowing, “extentions” look from her Idol years.

He doesn’t look nearly as dorky as Clay did before his makeover that’s for sure!

Surprisingly I liked the first guy better than I thought I would. He wasn’t as theatrical tonight! Wow.
