Hey, have you read any of the Twilight series yet?No, I haven't. I've been afraid I will like them. LOL I download a lot of audiobooks from Audible.com and listen while I work and I keep toying with the idea of downloading them. I did hear that the series ending is disappointing.
I read on Dave Barry's blog that Peter and the Star-Catchers is going to be a theatrical production.

Here's my opinion. I like Anoop and I thought Tatiana and the ballad guy (Simon said no personality) were in the next best group. Maybe the black guy with the fro who was criticized for singing Michael Jackson and the country guy who didn't make it.
They have a second chance if they are picked for the wild card night.
That's why some of the replies say "I hope he or she is a wild card."

I never thought of it before, but "Fun Girls" is a 1963 way of saying skanks :) So Thelma Lou was definitely not a Fun Girl. Daphne and Skippy on the other hand ...
OK. So "Fun Girl" is not someone who likes to water ski or go dirt biking. Gotcha.
It does crack me up that in 50's/60's tv and movies, the "good girls" are usually brunette and the "fun girls" were usually blond. Not always, but a lot of the time.
That's why I went red. You never know what you're gonna get with the redheads. ;-)

Oh pleeeaasse RK? Honestly, would you rather go to a rockin' Alexis concert, or a dull boring Anoop campfire sing-a-along. This girl, I think, has star growth potential, Anoop has one speed, sappy. He's very likable, but boring and too lankly tall! You ain't gonna see no Anoop dog jumpin' off a stack of speakers at a concert without crakin' some bone! Yeah, but I don't think Reuben was jumping off of anything but the couch and he won. It's not my favorite style of music, but there is definitely a market for it.
I put him in the same category as Luther Vandross and...okay, Luther Vandross because that's the only singer I know in that genre. LOL But you get the idea.

Thank you. Now I understand.
I missed a week or two of Idol because our cable company was locked in a dispute with the owner of the local Fox station and they had go dark for a couple of weeks until they could negotiate a new agreement.
That’s probably when they explained the wild card week.

(And Alexis was even better this time! I love her!) Actually, I thought she started weak -- missed the pick-up on the intro and was a little hesitant.
Then, once she got into it and realized the pressure was off, she totally rocked it. The second half of it was amazing, even better than Tuesday.

I don't know how they're going to arrange that. Will they choose 4 from each of the three groups of 12 to form the Wild Card 12? Or will they choose 12 of the better singers from ALL the groups? It's confusing. Whenever you're unsure of what's going on, step back for a second and think like a 19E producer.
Let's presume 12 wild-card spots. Of those, you're only going to be picking 3 to move on. Of those, you only need to use 1 or 2 to put through a truly talented contestant that the voters just missed on during the first vote.
So, figure that you'll fill 6 of those spots with people legitimately in the running for those 1 or 2 spots. You'll look at a combination of how they've done to date from their initial audition to now and how the votes went. Did they come close despite having a bad night? Did they do well but just couldn't pull the votes?
The remaining wild cards will be the "entertainment" factor. You know, the Tatianas and the Normans of the world. One of these will likely make the top 12, as long as the producers are pretty sure they can nudge them off before the touring top 10. (Of course, in Tatiana's case, one could argue that she fits in both the "legitimate" and the "entertainment" group... a nice 2-fer for 19E. I'd bet serious money that she is a wild card and makes the top 12.)

It was my understanding that after these 3 weeks they’ll have 9 with 3 slots to fill for the top 12. The “judges” are supposed to pick those 3 vacant slots as “wild cards” and we have our top 12.
My only question is if they can pick any 3 out of the 27 “rejects” or if they have to pick one from each week, the latter narrowing it down too much.
If they have to balance boys and girls evenly, it will make it harder as the “boys” have been much more talented this season.

I think they get to pick 3 out of the remaining 27. Not all 27 will have a chance though.

Then on Thursday, March 5, Fox will air a special Wild Card performance episode in which
each semifinalist groups highest remaining votegetter who didnt already automatically advance to the finals will get a second chance to perform along with several additional semifinalists that the judges will select. After all the Wild Card semifinalists perform, the judges not the shows home viewers will immediately select three of them to complete the seasons twelve finalists. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, does this mean the judges could select other semifinalists from some place else? Who are these 'additional' semifinalists?
