Compared to what she looked like a few months ago, it's an amazing turn around.

This is from inside her album when she was healthy.

Jennifer Hudson is starting to get her life back on track. Here's a photo of her in Florida last week:

She sang the national anthem at the Super Bowl today. She also recently shot a video for her next single. Here's a photo of her being made up for the video shoot.

Her label is also planning to re-release her debut album, which didn't fare well when it was initially released.

Thanks for the link. She sounded great, though I thought a tad too slow in some parts, but generally a very nice rendition. She looks like she has dropped some weight. I’ve always thought she was very pretty and should have won her season of AI.
To: Netizen
Considering she lost her family just over two months ago, I also think she looks great. And I agree totally. She should have won her season of AI, not Fantasia. Even though both young women sing in that overwrought modern R&B style, Jennifer can sing rings around Fantasia. Jennifer stays on key during all those over-done runs, while Fantasia slides off key into a shrill sound that I find very unappealing. Jennifer also has a greater range.

American Idol: Kelly Clarkson Makes Billboard History A Second Time
http://www.realitytvmagazine.com/blog/2009/01/30/american-idol-kelly-clarkson-makes-billboard-history-a-second-time/
For the second time in its 50 year history, the first American Idol, Kelly Clarkson has made the highest leap on the Billboard Hot 100. Her newest single, My Life Would Suck Without You, rose from the 97th spot, knocking out Lady GaGas Grammy-nominated Just Dance featuring Colby ODonis. Just Dance slipped to No. 2 after three weeks in the No. 1 spot. Kelly Clarksons new record broke the 96th-to-first record recently set by Britney Spears Womanizer.
The first time Kelly Clarkson set the record for the largest jump to No. 1 was back in October 2002, when A Moment Like This, lept from No. 52 to the top of the chart. Kelly Clarkson has had six other singles in the top 10, since she wore the American Idol crown. In April of 2005, her single Since U Been Gone peaked at No.2.
Kelly Clarksons highly anticipated fourth album, All I Ever Wanted, will be released on March 17.

General question- did someone here recommend the Kings of Leon to me??
I can’t remember who told me to check them out, but I can’t stop listening to their album “Only by the Night.”
My cube neighbors must be so sick of hearing “17”, but I really don’t care. LOLOLOL So thanks, mystery recommender!
To: Netizen
Thanks for the Kelly article, Netizen. On the music boards they call each album an "era." So far, Kelly is doing phenomenally this era. Her new single is an absolute smash hit. It was released just three weeks ago, and it's already at #11 on the Mediabase radio airplay chart. It jumped up three spots just overnight from yesterday to this morning. When the next sales updates come out, it's likely the song will have sold close to, if not more than 500,000 copies. In three weeks.
It's an amazing turnaround from her last era of the dark, brooding "My December" album that had no hits. Fortunately, Kelly fired her manager and signed with Narvel Blackstock, Reba McEntire's husband. Narvel has done a great job mentoring Kelly and redirecting her career.
