Details emerge on Jett Travolta's death

John Travolta, Kelly Preston and their children Jett and Ella Bleu, leave an airport in Rome.

John Travolta's lawyers -- who are close family friends -- reveal that Jett may have died in his father's arms Friday.

Us: How is John doing?

-snip- "John and Kelly are suffering total misery. They were so close to their son. This is hard to accept.

-snip-

Us: Have John and Kelly spent time with anyone since everyone arrived?

Ossi and McDermott: "John and Kelly have been pretty much locked away.

"We are staying here until John leaves. The autopsy should be on Monday.

-snip-

Us: It's been reported that Jett was left alone for several hours before being discovered. Can you clarify the timeline?

Ossi and McDermott: "Jett was not left alone. He had a nanny present at all times. The nanny was sleeping close to Jett's room. There was a baby monitor, a chime on the door so it was known when Jett was going in and out. He was completely supervised. The nanny found him.

Us: Is it true that Jett died in John's arms?

Ossi and McDermott: "Jett may have still been alive when John administered CPR, and then the EMT took over. Jett was pronounced dead at the hospital. I like to believe John had a chance to say goodbye. He may have died in his dad's arms. I am not certain."

Us: It's been said Jett had a history of seizures. How often did he have them?

Ossi and McDermott: "I am not confident to talk about that. I know he had a history, which of course warranted the extra attention."

-snip-

He died because he had a seizure and the Nanny wasn’t there to help him.

In case anyone cares about what REALLY goes on inside Scientology
..instead of glossing over the whole situation...

a former Scientologist has been interviewed by ABC news and Inside Edition.

It is a sad state of affairs when all you can do is make those kinds of posts instead of actually discussing the issues...such as....

Why do the Travoltas CONTINUE..to claim that Kawaski Syndrome was the cause of his seizures?

What is the likely answer?

They consult with a neurologist. A neurologist would likely tell them this.

Are they in denial as to the real cause?

If they can’t admit the real cause..can Jett ever get the appropriate treatment and have the best possible chance of quality of life?

And as ArizonaCarolyn said herself...they wouldnt use the drug if they didn’t believe in psychiatric drugs...of course...she didnt realize she was making my argument..because she hasnt bothered to really try to understand the situation..all she wants to do is criticize me.

The poor kid is dead. Why didn’t they try other medicines?

And anyone in the nursing profession should be able to wrap her head around the fact that refusing appropriate medical care can be a detriment to the child.

By the way, if you're referring to another poster, you should ping them.

Why? I stated a fact. he had a seizure NOT RELATED TO KAWASAKI SYNDROME...and the nanny wasn’t there to help him.

He wasn’t on medication if he EVER was on medication...and they only tried one drug on him.

He had a seizure that was like death everytime he had a seizure but they didn’t try different medications on him.

But hey, anyone that wants to point out what really happened here is sick.

I would like one of you posters who keep telling me that I am sick to answer my question and tell my why they keep claiming Kawasaki Syndrome caused his seizures? Why not actually discuss the issue instead of childish name calling..which is about all you people seem to be able to do.

Oh brother...what a childish remark. My obession? I am talking about the topic at hand. Find another post in all my years on this site where I talk about the Travoltas and Scientology.

I bet if I do a search I can find plenty of people making fun of Tom Cruise and John Travolta on this site... unfortunately..their beliefs had an effect on their disabled son and he is dead.

Why don’t you actually try to provide some facts and discussion about the topic instead of name calling.

Is the drug on the list of CCHR as an acceptable drug or one of their evil drugs?

my 24 year old cousin died of a seizure disorder. Her mom was helping her as she had a baby and she was a single parent studying for law school exams. Her mom was in the bed with her when she died and discovered my cousin when she woke up. She gave no sign she was seizing.

A young girl I know of started seizing about 4 years ago. The parents could do nothing to get the seizures under control; she was hospitalized and the doctors induced a coma. She emerged, improved but continued to seize. Last July she had a seizure in bed and died; her mother found her the next day.

Point being, a person can have a seizure and die and it may not matter if anyone is watching you or not.

I don't care, actually. Why on earth is this your business? If I had a child, I would decide whether or not to put it on medication. Not you.

I weaned my daughter from anti seizure drugs when she was about 6. She had had seizures at age 4 and 5 ... I recommended the same doctor to other parents and they came to me and commented on how everyone in the office thought they had Tourette’s Syndrome. (This was true; I too thought it bizarre). Once the doctor began having me pay him becuase he didn’t want to deal with insurance, I stopped using him and my daughter btw did not show any more signs of seizures.

By the way, if Jett Travolta had a seizure disorder, it could have been bad enough to affect his learning which could explain why people thought he was autistic.

You are correct about medicating the child. It’s the business of the parents and nobody else.

What I am talking about is this, Carolyn believes...

Chick, in regards to your post #339, you've been around FR long enough to know this forum's etiquette is to ping a person you speak about in a post. I don't need you to tell me what Carolyn (or any other poster) believes. She can tell me herself if she so desires.

As I've already noted, I didn't expect to get through to you with my post about the relevant constitutional issues. Even so, you serve as a perfect foil for reaching a larger audience and making the point that not all conservatives are crazed uber-negative fools.

BTW, your debating style is a typical bait-and-switch approach used so that you can keep your irrational argument going. Doesn't work with me.

The central issue of this discussion remains the same one I called you on yesterday. People with your stone-cold, intolerant heart and rabid vitriol give conservatism a bad name. The great man whose name you took for your screen handle would be utterly repulsed by your posts on this thread.

Yes, this is very very true. However, it is the Travoltas who claim that there were two nannies and Jett was never alone, had door chimes, etc.

It is also very very true that seizures can be very hard to control and you may never find the right drug combination...but you also might..if you try. One of the members, who was high up in the organization, who left the organization, tells of what she went through because they made her quit taking her seizure medication.

I found the answer for ArizonaCarolyns comment.

CCHR, a Scientology organization, considers Depakote as an antipsychotic drug and it is listed in one of their reports. Therefore, since ArizonaCarolyn says they wouldn’t use the drug if they didn’t believe in psychiatric drugs for kids....she must question whether they really did use the drug.

Scientology got in the way of this kid’s health but just about everyone here thinks that is okay..and calls me sick for even questioning it.

Sad state of affairs when posters on a conservative website don’t think twice about the welfare of a disabled child that was a victim of Scientology.

Answer this question,

ArizonaCarolyn claims that everyone should be allowed to worship as they see fit and anyone who questions it is living in a glass house...yada yada yada..

Are you saying that you should only be allowed to worhip as you see fit..in the US where the constitution governs?

Glass houses are a moral argument..not a constitutional argument.

I never thought about it that way...

It helps to keep in the back of your mind the fact that there are way more views than posts on any thread, on any forum, often by more than a factor of 10, 20, or even 30 to 1. Many more eyes out there reading and watching than we sometimes realize.

Answer this question, Arizona Carolyn claims...

As much as I enjoy the openings you're giving me to shred your nonsense, I will NOT answer any question about another FReeper unless you observe proper FR etiquette. Do the right thing. Ping Carolyn and I might decide to answer.

Again, she used the term glass houses..that is a MORAL argument not a constitutional one and applies to the world as one.

Everyone should be allowed to worship as they see fit and no one should criticize yada yada yada...live in glass houses..yada yada yada...

so...what about those who mutilate women in the name of their faith?

It is a MORAL argument not a Constitutional legal argument...
