Oh! I just love Caesear, the Dog Whisperer. Isnt he wonderful??
We are totally hooked. We discovered him about when this happened with Giz...it was like a blessing from God because we just felt sorry for...and coddled the Giz.... Then saw an episode about how that is so self-destructive for a dog. Once we let Giz go on his own...he's done really really well. We still think he's struggling when he limps and our first instict is to "take care of him". BUT he does so much better when we leave him alone.
That's not to say we don't hang on him and love him...but everyday living...we are trying to keep it as normal as possible. And he's really doing well. Good luck!
To: dutchess
Dutchess - it IS hard. But, I am letting her go as far as she can, on her own - (no matter how difficult) since I read your post (and other’s) this morning.
She has never been a ‘spoiled’ dog (I don’t think) and she is very obedient and always wants to please. She almost looks ‘proud’ when she finally reaches ‘that special spot’ to go potty. Of course, if it were me, I would potty wherever I was, if my legs were so weak - but not Lindy - she drags herself all over the yard to find that perfect spot. (And, of course her Mommy stands there with tears in her eyes - wanting to help.)

Thank you so much for your suggestions for my little furry kid. I will ask the vet about these supplements tomorrow. She is taking a canine “Aleve” every 12 hours, (Metacam) and I am open to anything that may help her. Thank you so much!

Thank you, Billie! We will have no tears, though - I am going to stay as positive as possible, and let her do what she can. (The vet said there is no pain).
And a big thank you for introducing me to your friend, Dutchess!

Thank you, Fewz. I am seriously considering a ‘cart’. It’s too bad they don’t make ‘doggie walkers’ in all sizes. Your daughter sounds like a very special lady.
Your concern is sincerely appreciated.
