Happy Friday, JOHNN.
As a retired farmer, I have a couple of bones to pick with PETA.
Farmers are not cruel to their animals. The animals they raise are their livelihood.
I think these people have a couple of screws loose. :)
Thanks for the info on what the next 4 years will be. :(

I think we should relocate all illegals to SF, Malibu and New Haven, Connecticut.
For the bleeding hearts in Hollywood, I say, move some of these people into your guest rooms and guest houses. I wonder if they would change their rhetoric.

“animals have the right to be tasty!”
TRUE! ;^)
Sadly the next four years to see most of our rights suffer degradation if not out right loss. Once gone, we will not likely get them back. For a rather tenacious promise of security, we will lose rights, and still not even have the security they were traded for. It will take another revolution to correct this. Considering the apathy taught in public schools today, such a revolution will never happen again. I just hate the idea of having to stop calling my wife Honey, and have to refere to her as Comrade Alternative Sexual Oriented Life Partner.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2165828/posts Grrrrrrrr..........this is just unbelievable. In the midst of a financial crisis in CA, THIS is what SF is doing in order to connect it's “undocumented” citizens with city services. I just don't know what to say. It's beyond my comprehension.

Yes, “The Land of the Free, And the Home of the Brave” is no doubt going to face major turmoil.
But, then, like the lady on TV, so happy that “O” was nominated (”he’s gonna pay my mortgage, and pay for my gas at the pumps!”)- so many want to get everything for nothing that they will become ‘sheeple’ to let the gub’mint take care of them.

National Religious Freedom Day
A Proclamation by President George W. Bush.
International Hot & Spicy Food Day
National Fig Newton Day
Clamp-on Roller Skates Patented
National Nothing Day
NOTHING
Apropos of nothing, I have nothing to say,
Nothing comes to mind about this word today.
What are you thinking? He was asked, Nothing. He replied.
And thus invented zero. Nothing new for numbers is implied.
Ive been collecting lots of it. It isnt hard to find,
And if you take a portion no one ever seems to mind.
Somewhere inside in my pocket there is a good supply.
And sometimes when I shed a tear theres nothing in my eye.
In my refridgerator, theres even more to see,
Of dietary nothingness, in great variety.
I have low-calory, and zero carbohydrate,
And even empty bottles in a partly filled milk-crate.
The emptiness is rampant in the furnishings in here,
This small apartment seems so drab that nothing gives it cheer.
Nothing should convince you that I always wear a frown,
I wouldnt want to let you think that nothing gets me down.
Nothing like a friendship to disrupt your daily thought,
And nothing of emotion comes to make you more distraught.
Nothing for companionship to while away the hours,
And nothing in the vase that I have set aside for flowers.
Nothing on the telly, and nothing here to read,
Nothing can distract me, so imaginations freed.
Relaxing here this evening, and trying to unwind,
Just sitting here so quietly with nothing on my mind.

“As a retired farmer, I have a couple of bones to pick with PETA.”
I volunteer to bone a few for you!?!
PETA = People Eating Tasty Animals
I have a t-shirt with this on it and during the summer I really get remarks on it, most of them in this bastion of liberals very nasty. I just laugh and ask if they would like to go hunting with me, I even offer to share the meat with them!
I grew up on ranches out in Montana and caring for your animals was tantamount if you wanted to build a strong herd and keep it that way. Peta types are people with too much time on their hands and too few brain cells! I always make them mad by listening to their complaints and then ask why they didn’t volunteer to test new cancer medications and save a rat the trouble. You know, put themselves ahead of a lab rat! Oddly enough, none of them seem interested in actually taking the rat’s place. (And you can bet they’d want to use that medication if they had cancer!)

A freind of mine in Austrailia sent me this.
I became confused when I heard these terms with reference to the word ‘service’.
Internal Revenue ‘Service’
Aust. Postal ‘Service’
Telephone ‘Service’
Cable ‘Service’
Civil ‘Service’
Customer ‘Service’
State, City & Council Public ‘Service’
This is not what I thought ‘service’ meant.
But today, I overheard two farmers from Inverell talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to come ‘service’ a few cows.
BAM!!! It all came into focus. Now I understand what all those ‘service’ agencies are doing to us.
I hope you are now as enlightened as I am.
