Will posting in all capital letters, eat up more bandwidth.
Although it was in part in the committee process but under an unlikely committee.
Ugh. Checking to see what’s been going on lately. A little depressing...
I don’t even want to see any news whatsoever, except here. At least here, I know we’ll get a good perspective.
“47,825 replies....”
Call me “gabber!” LOL!
It’s on FR that I’m looking, just stepping back through news...
LOL -- "gabber" isn't taken.
Oh well. Time to head out for the show...
LOL!
I have to leave too, so I’ll talk to you later!
Have a good afternoon, epople. I’m in again for a while.
Last post ...
What an afternoon -- I never got to the "restful meander around the show." On the way over I get a call from the current chairman asking if I can sit in on a Society session this afternoon representing our committee, as requested by the president. Oh well, there went some time but I had a few hours free.
Got to our booth and was immediately introduced to my boss' new boss' (or at least she'll be my boss' boss once they hire someone to be my boss). She asks if I have time to escort someone about our part of the show, talking about the competition and others. I say "sure." She calls someone, who arrives in a few minutes. I had my backpack and coat to someone to store away. It turned out to be perfect that I was wearing a shirt with our technology's logo, because I'm presented as The Expert in this technology.
"Someone" turns out to be a higher corporate mucky-muck. Almost amusing that it took forever to get down the the first aisle for all the folks who just had to stop and chat. Including one fellow who attended a talk I gave in September, and still remembered it. It was clear that I am well-known.
Also managed to bring together a key person from a country where we were planning to start selling, and one of our dealers who had just announced his intent to expand into that same country. Extra bonus -- and will join them for dinner at a Persian restaurant instead of eating somewhere alone tonight! *\:^)
The shuttle to the hotel was pulling away when my successor chairman called to say I didn't have to go after all. So I was able to write and send all the e-mails I'd promised today. *\:^)
ANd now I have to go. LEss than 10 minutes on the laptop battery. Back tomorrow night or Thursday, probably,...
Um, it snowed here today.
It didn’t snow here. I have to shop for craft supplies tomorrow, for my Girl Scouts event on Thursday. And I have to find the troop’s checkbook to pay for everything!
I’ve snookered Anoreth into coming with me to help the younger girls with their crafts.
Careful, girl! If you get too good at spending other people’s money, the 0bama administration may find a position for you, and draft you into public service.
But not pool
I have played pool, but not snooker. I actually have trouble spending the troop’s money, so we have a lot in the bank. The Council will get suspicious if we’re running a high balance without a firm plan for a trip to Europe or something. Ice skating, dinner out, and crafts will wipe out a good bit of it.
Anoreth was lured with the promise of dinner out, instead of a Tom Production at home.
A Tom Production is not a good thing? It has a ring to it.
Your link sends me the top of this thread.
A Tom Production has an unpredictable outcome.
To avoid disaster, I plan to get hamburgers and frozen pizza for the next couple of days, and Tom can cook Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, after the menu is approved by his Dad.
