Texas! I'll be there in... two weeks from yesterday.
Changing planes in Houston.
Assuming CO/NWA quit changing my travel plans. First CO dropped my flight from IAH to ORD, rebooking me with a 40+ minute connection. Under an hour? In Houston? You gotta be kidding! And what happened to my frequent-flier status? Call and re-enter.
So I wound up on NWA through MSP, not bad at all and I get there earlier. Re-enter FF# number again. Okay.
Today I get *another* notification from our corporate travel agency. As far as I can tell no flights changed but my first flight is now listed as a 1st class purchase -- okay, maybe I got an early upgrade but I had to go back and re-book all the rest of the seats because they gave me mostly bad seats. (At least this time my FF# stuck...)
Life's pretty bad when you're concerned about airplane seating, right? *\;-)
I'll wave from a window.

10 and 5 is definitely cold. Good luck to the campers!
How are they "camping"?
Our Archbishop, a former Marine, "camps" in the nearest motel; like my WWII vet father-in-law, he has no wish to sleep in a tent ever again and I couldn't blame them though both have missed out on good "experiences."

But those of us on the Fahrenheit (Fahrenheit? Isn’t that German?) scale at least have a positive outlook on such temperatures. *\;^||

When it reaches forty below, it’s the same on both scales.

They’ll be camping in tents. Our boys have good camping gear for the weather, though. Bill says the youth leaders will have hot coffee, and it looked like the adults were planning on having Mimosas.
They’re discussing coats, hats, and gloves now, since I brought it up ;-).

Ah, In “Polar Bears” we had to make our dwellings. Lean-tos, igloos, snow caves.... surprisingly “comfortable.”

I went backpacking once, It was spring and it got cold at night but most of the group didn’t bring gloves or even long pants. It was two day out and we woke up to about 4’ of snow. I had a really good sleeping bag.

Life's pretty bad when you're concerned about airplane seating, right? *\;-) Not at all.
Some times, the good seat on the airplane can be the best part of your day.

make that Not to be too critical, but I've never seen a typographical error to get spelled out like that.
I could understand someone's being confused over the abbreviation for inch being ", and the abbreviation for feet being '.
But spelling it out takes it to a whole 'nuther level.
.
I think I would have left the four feet of snow, rather than reduce it to four inches. Makes a better story, and it isn't as embarrassing.
