I called my brother in AZ, and the home phone was forwarded to his wife’s cell. She was at her daughter’s house, and her daughter works behind the counter for US Airways. So I’m watching it now.
(I’m sure it will interfere with my soap...)
I hope there are 100% survivors!

Me too. The only report so far indicates it’s not know if there are any injuries.

Two bird strikes were reported by the pilot, and everyone survived, according to what I’m watching.

I always wondered about those “water landings” — now I know.

No nap - just GS. Wednesday was disappointed! I’ll make it to bedtime, I’m sure, even though Pat has Cub Scouts and Bill and Tom have to shop for their camping trip. Maybe Anoreth can drive them to the grocery store. Or maybe I can, and buy more wine!

Flag Day would be an awesome birthday.True, but I'd still like to have it over with before then. June 4 or 6 would be nice; that's my father's and my brother's birthdays.

Well, the pilot and crew should be commended, regardless. Robin Roberts says it looked to her like the pilot set the plane down as if the river were a runway. That says a lot.
Textbook landing!

Anything within two weeks of the due date is “done,” so that would be close enough. James was two weeks early, and he weighed 9 lbs.!

I just read Canadian geese blew out both engines.
Ugh. And those birds are real pests here.

At the US air base in Anchorage, they use birds of prey to keep the geese off the runways. I’m sure that’s not the only place that uses them, but more should. Of course, we’ve chosen to fly in their lanes...

When I hear of big babies born “early,” I’m amazed because I know most of their weight is put on during the last two weeks. Of course, I also think that babies come when they are supposed to, in spite of what we do!

It will be cool if Baby Whatsis is born on Dad’s 75th birthday. My Dad, I mean, not the baby’s dad ;-).

Canadas are here year round, too. They’re cute in the spring when they have babies.
