Good evening. As Arctic temps and snow grip much of the country, I pray for all those who travel and have to spend time outside.
Also remember the many affected by the economic woes this season...anecdotal stories we're all hearing bring the statistics to life, and add a somber theme to the time which is usually so joyful.
I don’t remember too many snow days while going to school in Everett. But when the snow did come it sure was pretty.
I remember the fog at this time of year up there.
Tell him Merry Christmas from us.
Good Morning JT. Merry Christmas to You and your buddies.
I hear it...I think it’s Santa rigging up the reindeer, I hear the bells.
Good Morning Toby.
Hi, till. Just dropping in for a bit. There’s a bunch to do today. Tomorrow should be warmer.
Good morning!
Jem, I started Warren's book - never could finish it; now I don't really care if I do. I think he's a pop Christian...
Merry Christmas, Soldier!
Merry Christmas to you all! And Merry Christmas to Mrs. JT!I second your setiments, prairiebreeze
Also, can't wait to hear of daughter's first semester teaching.

OOOPs! Sorry...
Yes, a pop Christian. Now I don’t have an elector detector but it makes me wonder if such a person is even a Christian at all.
Mozie, it is so reassuring to be speaking with your son while he is at war! That just wasn’t heard of during the Viet Nam era. We would number our letters so our soldiers could know if one was missing. Sometimes because there was a gap they wouldn’t have a pertainent piece of info or whatever. Y’all know what I’m talking about.
But this AM when I got online, I checked Facebook. Sure enough, JT was there and we chatted via the keyboard back and forth. He had just gotten off duty and was checking for news himself. That is so neat.
I heard it too...must be doing his sky-trials, you know, get the kinks out of the system before the big night. Doncha know Rudolph is excited?
I received a card from someone on my Cavalier dog list this year, and she makes her own cards, starring her dogs.
Front page - Santa/Reindeer flying thru the sky, with a verse from Night Before Christmas. Inside, a photo of her 2 dogs, dressed up as Sarah and Todd Palin, and Sarah had a rifle over her chest.
Lots of little “stuffed animals” laying on the floor - Santa, and “reindeer.”
The verse said “Too bad Reindeer can be mistaken for Moose.”
LOL
I too have heard of that tradition. You're right... we really should be putting the baby Jesus in the manger on Christmas eve.
Thanks so much for your happy holiday wishes for me and my buddies.
Thanks for letting me know your location. Mozie, this is so cool.
I’m glad you’re where you are, JT, it looks as calm as Sentani.
I meant to say, I google-earthed the name JT gave me and I have now pin-pointed his location.
The way I figure is that it is just a recreation of what might have happened on Christmas Eve. It is a remembrance. I can remember where the entire nativity scene is kept over the course of the year. But I may not remember where the Baby Jesus has gone to if I don’t keep him with the rest of the set.
My set in Sentani now has our family name inscribed on Jesus’s backside. LOL!
