Good morning!

The markets ended on a positive note, and we made it thru a day - Friday - without an Obama press conference. ( I think I'm correct on this...)

The chorale did a Mack Wilberg arrangement of "Away In A Manger" at their concert the other night. Beautiful, as always. I think I could listen to an entire concert of Mack Wilberg and John Rutter arrangements and be perfectly happy.

Sure do miss you, by the way....

Good Morning!

Watched Tora, Tora, Tora this morning. Still an amazing film.

2 degrees at the moment.

This is suppose to be a mild winter? Must be global warming already at work.

AHHHH, LOOKS SO GOOD MAKES YOU WANT TO SLAP YOUR MOMMA!!! (and die of course).

Morning all, a little chill in the air, sunny, NO forecast of snow, chickens clucking, roosters crowing (am wondering if there is any meaning to this, ah hummmmm), dogs on my front porch, fool cat GD GAVE me is out of his mind (will be next week for sure, gonna get his claws out and ‘fixed’).
In other words, just a normal day at the ole ‘Shack in the back’.

TJ had his birthday yesterday and the other foster child when adopted will have MY bithdate, what an honor. I am telling you all that getting foster children, watching their lives change, so full of love, nothing could be any finer. SO many youngsters out in this world just thrown to the wolves, no love, no care in a home, and yes, I am so proud of my kids. I think ALL should get involved somehow with the foster children, gifts on holidays, whatever. I know most of us are in the ‘older years’ and can't do what the youngsters can do but we all can get involved in some way.

Oh, forgot.....The kids are ‘talking’ about maybe one more, a little girl. when I die they will say ‘we could not find his heart’ cause it is left with these youngsters.

Just wanted to get my day started so now can start getting ready for church then go watch the boys while D and SIL get ready.

How sad during those horrible years. I remember Dec 7, was a little tot but remember sitting around the radio with parents so upset, all were shocked to the enth degree. I remember putting the black curtains going over the windows, painting the headlights half black on the car, no one going out for anything, just sitting in front of the radio listening to the latest news which was not much because no one knew what what happening. Let us pray we will not see anything like this ever again, but, most likely will with so many nuts out in this world.

Remember those who lost their lives fighting for the USA, the bravest of the brave, someones father, husband, uncle, aunt, maybe our next door neighbor, they died for all of us.

Big storm coming Monday night/Tuesday. Hoping for a snow day Tuesday so I can get some stuff done around here.

It's up to a balmy 6 now. Those millionaire football players are going to be earning their pay today.:-)

MozartLover! Meant to ask what your brother said about the Minnesota suspensions. Too bad they took place after they played the Bears and the Packers.

We have been married almost three and a half years. Time passes swiftly when you are happy.

Toby - before you declaw, the cat will definately be an inside cat after. W/o claws, they cannot defend themselves. Food for thought.

You drive a hard bargain on fostering. After my small experience with dog rescue, I’m tempted to move up to fostering, but at my age, it would be a total disaster. For the child. A grumpy old gma raising them.

Actually, the suspensions have been revoked. Here's what he had to say about THAT:

"Mary:

FINALLY JUSTICE!

I know it has been tough on you and all NFL fans to suffer through the latest attempted injustice against the Minnesota Vikings (trumped up drug charges). At least we can all rejoice in the small amount of peace that the legal system has provided in slowing down the NFL's over 40 year conspiracy. I think the best we can hope for is that the case against the beloved Williams' will at sometime soon be heard by the honorable Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Mr. Alan Page. It is a shame that when thinking about the Minnesota Vikings defense we are dragged into rooting for our legal defenders and not the team on the field. Be strong.

hope,

tom"

He's twisted.

p.s. Alan Page is a former Viking.

I am :-) My husband has been gone for over 5 years and I made the decision to let him rest and just let go. It was time I believe and I listened to my heart and now have a very wonderful and special man in my life. My life now is giddy, exhilarating, a little scary from time to time, but absolutely terrific!!!!

Yep. When it comes to both sports and politics, nothing beats Minnesota for total insanity.
