Hi, Maj - catching up with you!
Sandman’s coming - nite, all!
Thanks, Billie, for decorating Amy's Place so beautifully.
Good morning! God Bless Our Troops.
Got a little smile from your graphic this morning....I would say toche’ (pronounced too-shay) if I knew how to spell it! LOL!
So cute, yorkie! Its nice getting up to last evening’s pretties.
Thank you, sweet Majie!
Pastor Louie was preaching on the pervasiveness of sin. Its everywhere! he stated emphatically. He told about waiting for a traffic light when he saw the man in the car in front of him finish his Coke, open the door, set the glass bottle on the street, and drive away.
That was wrong! Louie said. It was a selfish sin! He could have caused someone to have a flat tire or even an accident. We dont typically think of littering as sin, but it is clear evidence of our inherent selfishness.
Later, as Louie was greeting people by the door, a Bible professor at a local Christian university said quietly as he walked by, Sin puts the bottle on the street, but grace picks it up.
Now, many years later, Louie has not forgotten the lesson of that scriptural principle. It comes right out of Romans 5, one of the most uplifting texts in the Bible describing the grace of God. Adams transgression brought sin into the world (v.12), and its consequences spread to all people. But God responded with grace, offering forgiveness through His Son to all who choose to believe. The human race sinned, and God answered with abounding grace (v.20).
God does much more than just pick up the bottle, He cleanses the heart of the transgressor!

Pandering Political Plague
Their job means more then our country ever did
Their goal a career and pay raises without a lid
Our freedoms negotiable on a tax by tax basis fair
Our quality of life not as important as their care
They never do without, though we always do
And perks are the life blood of such as they too
What we make, they are so quick to take away
Our place is but accept and pay, and pay, and pay
They call themselves our Leaders, and act it too
And yet they live not by the rules as me and you
Privilege and power, set them far apart of us
The common man riding there upon the bus
Theyve spent us into inflation, demand we pay them more
They are costing more then some fancy high skilled whore
Two hundred years ago we threw out the coats of tyrant red
And nows it time for pin stripped suits for whom we have bled
Theyll sell us down the road, and still grin along the way
As long as they keep their power, and still get their overpay
Were losing a country in apathetic waste as they play
And well not get it back, along with our rights I say
Stand up and stand for something, better then this mess
Remember what we had, and what God had sought to bless
Keep your eye upon the things youll give to those yet to come
For that is your true duty if youre a true American, Old Son!
Adorable!
