That's so neat Meg. What kind of seed is the Turkey eating? I wish this bird wasn't so afraid. I would love to have a Turkey visit regularly. You have such a variety of birds visiting. I miss seeing the Redbreasted Nuthatches this year. Wonder where they are.

Thanks for the reminder, Dolly.
I found mine in my Fotki Folder.
Sorry to hear about Wheelbarrow's shoulder.
How are you handling taking care of him and your Mom with your arm?
I know it is not easy but also know that he appreciates your help.
Take care of yourself.

They were spayed on Tuesday..one also had a hernia repaired..They have NOT been quiet..I have Not been successful in keeping them from jumping on the bed or chairs and this morning and last night they were chasing each other and rasslin'..They were making me a nervous wreck so I
decided to do much needed door cleaning and china cabinet clean up. Decorating for Christmas will be an adventure. I may have to close them in a bedroom...and then see how it goes. I adore them..but they are SO curious.
So far their stitches are holding in spite of the activity..

This turkey is tame..There is a flock of turkeys that hangs out at an assisted living complex about a mile away..( My postman informed me of this..says the residents love to feed them)
I assumed he was part of those..as I have seen turkeys here before..but a new neighbor says he has had him for a couple of years and brought him when he moved..
He eats sunflower seed and sometimes I put out birdseed that has cracked corn.
He seems to enjoy watching the kitties..and he will put his beak right against the glass where my adult kitty puts her nose..
My daughter was thrilled to watch him when she was here..He is BIG!
I had two red breated nuthatches come last November...a very, very rare visitor in this area..They did not come this year.

I’m so jealous! ;) I will have to try some seed with cracked corn under the feeders. If not the turkey, surely the squirrels will enjoy.
Incredible he comes to the window and watches the kitties! :)

Had my ornament in Photobucket.I love to revisit our holiday threads!
Oh, ouch..I have had two dislocated shoulders at once..I was standing on my
car hood getting down what I thought were lightweight Christmas
decorations..It was a box of books..I saved the car and wrecked my
shoulders...My sympathies to Wheelbarrow

How exciting the turkey is, GeeBee.
We raised turkeys for many years ... from poult to ?????
As you can see, the domesticated turkeys are quite different from the wild ones.
I believe there are some growers who still raise the bronze turkeys instead of the white.
The domesticated turkeys are much larger with larger breasts and thighs.
Thanks for sharing your turkey picture.
Have a beautiful day.

Good morning, Jaycee. Thank you.
Wishing you a beautiful afternoon.
These are busy, busy days.
I'm scheduled to work at the snack bar at school this afternoon.
I should be doing Christmas shopping ... at least I'm saving $$$ :^ )

More wildlife!!
That must be so exciting, GeeBee. Our wildlife is ground squirrels, gophers, gopher snakes, coyotes and a few different bird types. I’ve never seen one but I think we may have weasels.

I’m gonna try an experiment in making cinnamon and pecan sticky buns today. Can that pass for cookie day work?

I was looking for your suggestions about cinnamon rolls that you posted a couple weeks ago - didn’t you use corn syrup? Request for repeat. ;-)

Hey girl, my boots don’t smell like me at all and I’m just praying that if yours smell like you it’s more like Este Lauder rather than my unprintable shoe smell. Peeuuww!
