It is dark Jaycee. I was going to try to lighten it but it's hard to edit with this lap top screen. It's a turkey. Funny, usually they come in a group and this one was alone. I'm enjoying seeing a lot of wild life around lately. :)
This picture appears a bit light. I can't win, LOL. This deer came to the feeders. Sweet face huh. :) Hard to get mad with them eating my roses when I see that face! :)

So sweet, I love them. I guess you may have heard me mention that I have one son who loves to hunt and shoot deer. My other son, the youngest, doesn’t like it and will feed them if one comes into his yard. He took a pic. one time of a beautiful deer biting into an apple on his tree. He took it through the garage door window. I wish I had it. I will ask him if he still has it. I told him at that time it could win a prize.

I have a love/hate relationship with them. LOL I wish they didn't like to eat roses. I couldn't do it but we higher on the food chain. ;) There is such a huge population around here too. I hate seeing them on the road side.
That must be a magnificent picture your son has taken. Wish I could see it also. :)

I am feeding a turkey on my patio right now! I would love to see juncos again but they have not been here in years.
I Love your bird pictures..I am enjoying cardinals, titmice and chickadees..and the neighborhood turkey. I spread the seeds out so I could see him in different lighting..The colors of the feathers are beautiful.
The kitties love it when he comes.

Mama Bear is singing my song with this lovely junco graphic and poem. Wish I knew how to tempt the juncos back..I once had them every winter.

A SUDDEN blow: the great wings beating still Above the staggering girl, her thighs caressed By the dark webs, her nape caught in his bill, He holds her helpless breast upon his breast. How can those terrified vague fingers push The feathered glory from her loosening thighs? And how can body, laid in that white rush, But feel the strange heart beating where it lies? A shudder in the loins engenders there The broken wall, the burning roof and tower And Agamemnon dead. Being so caught up, So mastered by the brute blood of the air, Did she put on his knowledge with his power Before the indifferent beak could let her drop?

I ask them to take a poem and hold it up to the light like a color slide
or press an ear against its hive.
I say drop a mouse into a poem and watch him probe his way out,
or walk inside the poem's room and feel the walls for a light switch.
I want them to waterski across the surface of a poem waving at the author's name on the shore.
But all they want to do is tie the poem to a chair with rope and torture a confession out of it.
They begin beating it with a hose to find out what it really means.

Good Morning Everyone
It's 48 chilly degree..quite a change from yesterdays high of 80...I found
out correcting streaks with my door washing job in my nightie was not a
good idea!
Moving along on the china cabinet..just a few more handwashables and one more dishwasher load.
It will be ready to decorate by tonight.
The kittens are running, chasing, jumping..They'll soon be leaping on my
Christmas decor.
I am going to try to donate the pain medicine to a needy animal..They
certainly don't need it!

Hi Meg :)
Lovely chickadee! Doing chores today too. My glass door has streaks. Each time I try to get it done, I make new ones. It's driving me me nuts. LOL
What happen that your Kitties needed meds? So glad the kitties are doing well now and are enjoying the Christmas decor. :)
