Naps are necessary!
I have had one full night’s sleep and lots of naps since last Tuesday! My daughter and I find one more thing to do or talk about and sleep is forgotten..I am not going to worry about anything but paperwork for awhile..I have housework that must wait....and I need to catch up on sleep, too!
Glad your Christmas was a wonderful one.
Thanks for your sweet comments on my furbabies..I have seen cats that weren’t cute because they were starving..It is amazing what a good home with TLC can do.

Soul Food
Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart. Jeremiah 15:16
Grocery shopping with my wife, Martie, is like taking a seminar in nutrition. Ill often pick up a box of something that looks good, and shell say: Look at the label. Are there trans-fats? Whats the calorie count? How about the cholesterol rating? I have to confess that if she werent the nutrition cop in my life, Id look like Shamu the whale!
More important than making good choices in the grocery store is thinking carefully about the food we digest for our souls. I love the verse that says: Your words were found, and I ate them (Jer. 15:16).
When we read Gods Word, we have to be doing more than checking it off our to-do list. We have to read it to digest it. Slow, thoughtful absorption of the Word of God with quiet reflection on its implications is high in nutrition. His Word provides all the ingredients we need to thrive spiritually:
- a direct connection to the sustainer of our soul
- brain food that makes us wise and discerning
- a daily check-up revealing the condition of our hearts
- preventive medicine keeping us from sin
- a spiritual shower of peace, hope, and comfort
Eat Gods Word. Its a spiritual feast!
Gods Word provides the nourishment
That Christians need if were to grow;
But if we do not feast on it,
A vibrant faith well never know. Sper
The Bible contains all the nutrients for a healthy soul.

Morning Meg, the message is a good one today.. : )
Off to Church, very windy up here.
After all the rain yesterday and the warm temps almost all the snow is gone.

Reasons to NOT regift Fruitcake: Creative suggested uses and applications for fruitcake
- Wrap it in plastic, place in the toilet tank to conserve water when you flush
- Plug the rodent holes in your house
- Use a slice to shim up the leg of that wobbly table
- Chock the tires of your car, truck or trailer
- fnord
- Shim out the doorframe you're installing in your house
- Ballast for the keel of your boat
- Throw at police during violent protests instead of bricks, rocks, or molotov cocktails
- Build a retaining wall
- Sent to the military to use as practice ordinance
- Use instead of hay bales to back the targets during archery practice
- Alternative to cinder blocks for dorm shelving
- Ablative shielding for launch re-entry vehicles
- Cheap alternative to the expensive ordinance being used by our Military

I tell my secret? No indeed, not I: Perhaps some day, who knows? But not today; it froze, and blows, and snows, And you're too curious: fie! You want to hear it? well: Only, my secret's mine, and I won't tell.
Or, after all, perhaps there's none: Suppose there is no secret after all, But only just my fun. Today's a nipping day, a biting day; In which one wants a shawl, A veil, a cloak, and other wraps: I cannot ope to every one who taps, And let the draughts come whistling thro' my hall; Come bounding and surrounding me, Come buffeting, astounding me, Nipping and clipping thro' my wraps and all. I wear my mask for warmth: who ever shows His nose to Russian snows To be pecked at by every wind that blows? You would not peck? I thank you for good will, Believe, but leave that truth untested still.
Spring's and expansive time: yet I don't trust March with its peck of dust, Nor April with its rainbow-crowned brief showers, Nor even May, whose flowers One frost may wither thro' the sunless hours. Perhaps some languid summer day, When drowsy birds sing less and less, And golden fruit is ripening to excess, If there's not too much sun nor too much cloud, And the warm wind is neither still nor loud, Perhaps my secret I may say, Or you may guess.
