Cardinal are territorial, some moreso than others. I’ve seen a male kill his own son because he wouldn’t leave dad’s territory and find one for himself.

They’re pretty well known to attack red things, my lamp, red curtains, red ribbons on wreaths. I thought he’d get over the lamp but he quickly got frantic and looking like he’d hurt himself.

I was so surprised when I heard you speaking of our gowns because earlier when the discussion was going on about the ornaments, I wanted to say “When are we going to get dolled up in our evening gowns?” Thats the truth!

I think everyone should post their ornaments on the same day on a certain day. Some of us have posted ours but we can all do it again....They are all so pretty! Then you’ll let us know about the gown day~~~LOL~~~

That frame is like the one I was using but mine was HUGE! The one you sent was perfect.....did you just have to change the commands on it. That ‘tables thing’ tears me up...I don’t know why, it just does!

I certainly never knew cardinals were that territorial to kill their own offspring. We never get too old to learn, do we?

The mantel is decorated a little differently this year, but the Merry Christmas wishes from our family to our FRiends remains the same as this old greeting...

I’ve been watching them for several decades and that is the most violent cardinal I’ve ever witnessed, don’t know if that’s the norm.
