I have heard you speak of your cat. She must have been a sweet one..he/she, didn't know which. LOL~~~
Oh, he was So Sweet, One of the Sweetest Kitties I've ever had; just a Wonderful Friend. He Always Let my Little Bitty, Undersized Female Cat, named "the Toy," Boss him Around; she Used to Slap his Face Everyday, Lol. She would have her Claws Sheathed, though, because her Bark was Worse than her Bite.
Meg, I Love your Doggie Gif; just Precious! He Looks a Lot Like my Doggie! : )

I have been in the kitchen baking cookies, 6 dozen molasses ginger cookies, for a cookie exchange tomorrow afternoon. They are also my favorite cookie and I’m suffering giver’s remorse. You know like when when you’re a kid and you give a better present than you get. lol

OLD FASHIONED GINGER COOKIES
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
4 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
Cream shortening with sugar. Add eggs and molasses and mix well. Add baking soda, spices and flour. Work dough with hands. Roll into 1 inch balls; roll in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Makes about 72 cookies.

I can almost smell your cookies baking. Yum!
And I do know what you mean about giver’s remorse. When I buy a present for someone, I always want one just like it...LOL~~ And here I am still craving something sweet. And you have all those sweet cookies. I need to get to the store very soon!

He does resemble your Doggie, Kitty!Thank you and jaycee for your sweet gifs..I just downloaded that sweet angel yesterday, jaycee..I may send it back to you.
;o)
That kitty is very laid back, Kitty.*grin*
I have had my two most beloved kitties die in my arms..I thought I would never get another pet..too much pain..but I finally did and am willing to risk the pain because they are good for me. My daughter in law said recently when I was sort of explaining “more” kitties..”I think it’s wonderful! Pets make you live longer.” They are considering a second dog now.
It is a very personal decision, however.

I didn't Think I would have Another Pet, but then Doggie Suddenly Showed Up One Day on my Doorstep, and she is Such a Joy. I'm Thankful for her Companionship Here on my Shepherd-King's Ranch. (And you are So Right, Dear Meg; they are Good for us. Having Doggie to Care for and Look After is a Blessing.)

Still, still, still,
One can hear the falling snow.
For all is hushed,
The world is sleeping,
Holy Star its vigil keeping.
Still, still, still,
One can hear the falling snow.
Sleep, sleep, sleep,
'Tis the eve of our Saviors birth.
The night is peaceful all around you,
Close your eyes,
Let sleep surround you.
Sleep, sleep, sleep,
'Tis the eve of our Saviors birth.
Dream, dream, dream,
Of the joyous day to come.
While guardian angels without number,
Watch you as you sweetly slumber.
Dream, dream, dream,
Of the joyous day to come.

My angel is your angel, Meg! I would be flattered to get it back~~LOL~~!
I do fully understand about pets and health. They truly say they are good for your health, especially blood pressure. Who knows, one day I could make that choice of a pet again. One may come upon the porch and look at me with those pretty, sad eyes and my heart would melt.
