I read it once, then again, Johnn! It is a true and powerful writing....I loved this:
"They never do without, though we always do And perks are the life blood of such as they too What we make, they are so quick to take away Our place is but accept and pay, and pay, and pay"
WOW! Thanks~~~~

Billie's post reminded me of this older one I had, even though its not Christmasy! Meg, bet you can relate! Once upon a time, it was animated.

I get angry at the mess they are creating and we are expected to accept it. If we have hard times, not a one of these political animals will be living in hard times you can bet!

Oh how pretty. Love the Cardinal Tree. :)
If you have a favorite, let me know. Today I will finish decorating, even if it takes all night! It probably will too ;)

That is such a pretty bear and you've framed it so beautifully. I love how pretty you make Amy's Place all year, but especially at Christmas time.
Have a nice day, MEG. Looks like we might actually see some sun today. It will be the first time in over a week.
To: jaycee
I call it a frame, too! Thank you jaycee.

Thanks for bringing us our holidays today, jaycee.
Pastry day! I can get into celebrating that! LOL
To: GodBlessUSA
Oh, yum! That is actually what I call ‘pastries’. Seems I put cake in another category. But I took what was available at that moment...LOL!
I’m like you, GeeBee, I am going to work, work, work today. Everyone has so much to do so we can feel good that we’re not the only ones.

;o) Thank you, Mama Bear..I sure wasn’t expecting the sunshine after the storm we had this morning..but here it is. I hope you get your sunshine..Too many cloudy days make me grumpy.
Our spell of delightfully warmer weather will end tomorrow..and we are back to winter again.

Hello Lori! Thought I'd yell at you while you're here. I will be getting busy today once again. We are all doing the same things, if that helps any! Have a really nice day!

Hey! Just got speakers at my desk after wanting them for a million years. Fast approaching the mid-90s in computer technology!! Anyway, thanks for the tunes.
I may not always post to this thread but you remind me of home when I am away from home!!
I am off two weeks for Christmas this year so I cannot wait to be HOME>>>>>

Thanks Lori, I just posted something for you and came back and found this post! I can get into the Pastry Day myself. I could get into the clown mode, if I had all my work done! I haven’t gotten back to you on your precious spoiled doggie contest but I will sooner or later. So much to do, so little time....LOL~~~

I love that graphic..
;o) The kittens were on a tear this morning..The thunderstorm seems to have energized them..LOL I won’t be placing decor on the kitchen bar pass through..one ornament hit the floor that was sitting up there ..I was getting ready to do something with a big candle...but I think I’ll just let what I have done elsewhere do(ALL angels are up in the bookcase shelves..none on cabinet top or tables.)So far the buffet and bookcase decor is undisturbed.

Awwww.....that's a sweet snow family graphic. :-)
Yes, it is a busy season, what with decorating, shopping, baking and attending holiday events. Speaking of shopping, through a joint agreement with all of our family and extended family this year, we have decided to scale back on the HUGE amount of gifts we usually give each other. Only one gift per person this year. Consequently, shopping has been much easier, but I am feeling the need to buy more "stuff". LOL. But I will restrain myself. Our Christmas gift giving had gotten WAY out of hand, and although I feel like I should be out there supporting the economy, LOL.....I know this is a good plan for all of us and I will stick with the program. ;-)
