I was out at the unviersity for several hours. When I got home I noticed snow on cars and patches of it here & there on the ground so it obviously did snow a bit, just not where I was. But wow! is it cold!!!!

So cold I had to turn the heat on for the first time this season.
We have a large sliding glass door with southern exposure. I guess one could call our house passive solar. Were's our C credits. LOL

I have lived on the Mississippi Gulf coast since 1982 and have seen snow on the ground here only twice!!! GD saw her first snow when she went on a student exchange program to Austria and she saw it only once here, so goes life.
Speaking of snow, I was sent to Alaska when in the service and when we got off the plane it was SNOWING, I told the Lt that the USA government had made a grave mistake, sending a Mississippi boy to Alaska but, I even got to learn how to walk with snow shoes on.

Does anyone else, here, think Paulson was the GOP’s October surprise?

I think Paulson, combined with the Bernanke endorsement (so much for Bush loyalty), was a a one-two punch that effectively sealed the deal. The O-bomb started to pull away after that...btw, Mark Levin tonite is talking about how Paulson, Bernanke and the Fed had no idea what they were doing and therefore should have done nothing...:-(
