I’ve been watching this too, and wondering if anything would come of it. The one thing I remember, obama mentioned he was born in a hospital that didn’t exsist. His half sister claims he was born in both hospitals. Neither his half sister or obama seem to have much knowledge of their families.

Yes, till, the whole thing has always been shrouded in confusion and mystery. I was reading where the Founding Fathers were adamant about the natural born citizen clause because, having just finished winning the revolution, they wanted to make it impossible for a citizen of a foreign country, particularly Britian, to have access to the presidency, lest someone loyal to the British crown EVER become president.

It may be a stretch, but someone mentioned that when the Zilch was born, Kenya was a protectorate of Britian and I guess he could conceivably have British citizenship.

Kenya was a protectorate of Britian

You'd be a citizen of Kenya, not a subject of Britain. If it were really a protectorate.

A protectorate is a "nominally" independent country "protected" by another.

In practice, that "protection" is usually such a huge infringement on sovereignity that such becomes unworkable. The "protector" often installs a person by that name to represent the interests of the "protecting" party--basically usurping any pretense of autonomy on the part of the protected by that action alone!.

That all said, Kenya before 1920 was part of a structure known as "British East Africa," itself nominally a protectorate. It was not governed as a protectorate, it was ruled directly, so it was a colony in practice. Indeed, the British installed "governors," not protectors.

The legal farce was ended in 1920 - the Kenya Colony was created. (Source: Wikipedia.) One would then be a British subject in any event (probably was before, considering the ruling construct).

Kenya became independent on December 12, 1963. Regardless of when the Obamination was born, if he was born in Kenya, he would have been British (if born before 12/12/63), or Kenyan if born on or after that date.

But not a "natural born American citizen."

McCain's got a stronger leg to stand on. He was born in the American Canal Zone - by treaty AMERICAN SOVEREIGN TERRITORY (at the time of his birth--not today)!

Yesterday I mentioned meeeting a young man at the university, Justin, whose girlfriend, Angie, is in the National Guard and will be deploying the same time as Ev. Well, today I got to meet Angie. What a great girl!

She knows someone in his company, and says that she's sure she'll meet up with Ev at training; all of the medics (she's one, too) are training at Fort Sam Houston pre-deployment.

I'm thrilled to have this new connection.

She seems every bit as gung-ho as Ev.:)

Quick note...re: black widow. I agree with you completely! We are at the time where we can't tell the truth and be honest, those days are gone. Unless we are in lock step with the liberals, we risk being injured.
