We’ve started working on Christmas songs in church choir, and at the university we are rehearsing Messiah; and my piano students are also now practicing their Christmas carols. Hearing all that beautiful music helps to elevate my mood.
Oh , I will always remember the election, but I will not let it get me down.
I couldn't sleep much last night so early in the morning I watched Top Hat with Astaire and Rogers. What an uplifting movie!

Another student asked me to accompany an oboist at the convocation on Friday because he "doesn't have time" to learn the piano accompaniment....even though by his own admission he's had the music for several weeks; so now I have to learn it in 2 days. The first rehearsal I played for this morning was moved to a different building and nobody told me; well, they did leave a note on the door of the original location but a quick phone call to save the extra running would have been appreciated.
GRRR.
