Sarah for Senate in 2010, then Pres in 2012??

Would like to get some feedback from fellow freepers on this one. Would be poetic justice if Sarah could spend a few years in the Senate and then defeat an incumbent Obama. I'm quite sure she wouldn't vote "present".

“It was just done after 143 days and nothing but present votes”

With both candidates from the Senate, someone from the Senate was bound to win. US Senators hardly ever win presidential elections. Definite no.

“US Senators hardly ever win presidential elections. Definite no.”

Nevertheless, that argument has been neutered for some time to come.

Offer more substantiation for your position, please.

Or be Zotted...

She will only have served for about, say, 143 days before she announces her presidential candidacy.

A national stage in the senate would give her the Beltway Bona Fides the RINOviruses require for a presidential run.

A little toe2toe with the elitists on the senate floor would be great debate prep for her.

Her debating Hil would mean stratospheric C-Span ratings.

She has already ‘delivered’ on increasing domestic energy supplies within her present CEO role.

Like I said, she can take to O-route, name Prograzi&RINOvirus names and develop a national to-do list by pointing out all the pointy-headed Prograzi legislation in the queue.

She would be very effective at gummin’ up the commie werx.

Can’t you just imagine her as Majority Whip in 10?!? It just gives me the ‘Crissy-Tingles!!!’

btw... What side of the political spectrum are the nazis on, L or R?

Return Senatorial selection to state legislatures.

Saudia Arabia has more representation in congress than do the states of Texas, NY and Kalifornia.

‘I think’ a senator’s election was given to popular vote in the 17th amendment.

An eventual lurch left was the intent.

Nonetheless, I have never had any problems with common sense term-limits.

I don’t think it matters. I think she is the clear choice for Nominee in 2012 either way. What other candidate of a failed ticket has EVER been so discussed less than a week after the election? Whether Gov or Sen her biggest hurdle IMHO is getting more confident and knowledgeable so she can blunt the most effective criticism. Go Sarah,

Palin/Jindal 2012

Granted I’m not the most well studied person on this type of thing, but IMHO I think it would be seen as her abusing her power as Gov. if she appoints herself to the Senate seat.

People will say she just wants “power” for herslf. I think it would be a big mistake and likely bring out even more long knives bent on destroying her credibility.

Jindal is brilliant. As a Louisianian I have a close up view. But, he is dull, reminds me of McCain in that respect. There is no connection with the audience when he speaks. He just spouts off detail after detail (and this, he does well).

Having said that,I can't imagine anyone winning a debate again Jindal

NO!! If Governor Palin goes into that cynical cesspool, she will be tainted from then on. Congress is too much the siren’s lair.

“Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable." These are interesting numbers. I wonder if the moderates in control of the party apparatus review these statistics. They might get an education if they did.

She is labeled, as was Dan Quayle, by the opposition in such a manner that she is no longer to be considered as having serious potential for national office.

Quayle was labeled but the media. But what made him not serious potential was him not doing anything for 8 years after 1992.

Here’s one of your 8%. Isn’t the brilliance breathtaking?

You could not be more wrong in your assesment of my opinion regarding Palin. I do like her and would vote for her. But reality tells me she would be too easy to defeat in a national election.

Just being a realist.

Of course it hasn't.
There were two US Senators that stood for the elections.e of them was bound to win. It doesn't change the fact that if a US Senator stands against someone who is not a US Senator, they almost always lose.
Only John F Kennedy has won from the US Senate before this year, and even then he won with the aid of massive fraud by m Giancannna in Chicago.
Stop talking nonsense.

What “reality” is that?
The reality of Gov Palin getting higher national TV ratings than anyone else(including Comrade Hussein), when she appears on TV?
Or the reality if Gov Palin getting larger crowds, more enthusiastic crowds, and near hysteria from the crowds everywhere she appeared during the campaign?
Or the reality of Gov Plain having as much as 91% favourability ratings from Republicans today(higher than every single Republican politician including Bush, McCain, Romney, Huckabee etc)?
Get back to me when you have ANY evidence to present for what you are claiming, dude.

Senators are scumbags. Gov. Palin has a real job right now and she can do the state of Alaska and the country a lot of good right there.

“Nevertheless, that argument has been neutered for some time to come”

We will need an effective (read Whip) cat-herder in the senate to muster filibusters with recalcitrant RINOviruses.

Considering the alinsky-ite infestation; rules, and prior perceptions, have been wholly up-ended.

This is because most Presidential candidates from the senate, follow an antiquated ‘good ‘ol boy network’ set of senatorial rules and don’t pursue a full throated campaign.

Obama engaged fully, McCain did not. This has not been overlooked by real conservatives.

I don’t think Sarah would follow the same set of rules in ‘her’ presidential campaign.

She would easily command a greater presence than JFK ever did.

It’s called a national stage. Imagine all the C-Span & BM coverage and all the vetting that that would entail.

Her beltway bona fides would be absolute. I think you fear that in her.

She would command immensely more coverage from within the beltway than without.

The media needs ratings, and she would guarantee that.

. . . But that is just pure logic, such as nazis are on the left and intellectually honest anarchists are on the right. Do you agree with this statement?

btw. . . You only re-hashed your original argument. . . BORING!!!

“Stop talking nonsense.”

Dissent you may; calling me crazy & telling me to STFU with out improved substantiation. . . F-— OFF, alinsky’s TROLL!!!

Read the tagline.

Your idea of nonsense, is held by many as reason.

Because my original argument stands, and yours doesn't.
FACT: There have been only 2 US Senators elected for president.
JFK got in with the aid oif massive election fraud from mafia boss Sam Gianca in Chicago.
Comrade Hussein got in because of BOTH candidates were from the US Seante, so someone from the US Senate was going to win either way.
Gov Plain will remain Alaska Governor, win reelection in 2010, and has every chance of winning The Republican nomination in 2012, and smoking the Marxist from the White ouse come 2012.
Jindal didn't even appear in the rounding error in the recent Rasmussen poll about who Republicans want most to lead them. Gov Palin won by a landslide.
