In the South West. There are two of them already set for 1 Million each.
I've been thinking for some time now that it would be very effective (and possibly necessary at this point) to rally all conservative activist groups, websites, blogs, forums, etc., under one umbrella organization.
What I've observed is that there is no shortage in numbers - just that they're scattered and un-aligned with one another.
By all rights, that umbrella org ought to be the RNC, but they've proven to be tone deaf to the rank and file conservative base, and are woefully unequal to the task, in my opinion.
Some central org that can rally all unit flags under one banner is what's needed. The chief aim of such a group would be the realization of the goals of us all, which I don't need to belabor here.
The chief method by which such a group would help us to realize our common goals, would be to gather and organize all of the many groups, and to co-ordinate the efforts of all into a singular and effective effort, thereby increasing our strength and power.
At the moment, our valiant efforts are weakened by dispersal and lack of co-ordination.
There's no doubt that we have a monumental fight looming for the very survival of an America rooted in the Constitution and The Bill of Rights. We will not win this fight as a gaggle of scattered and ragtag forces.
Like others have said recently, we need something like a MoveOn organization to centralize and co-ordinate our activities.
I say "like a MoveOn", because it seems to me that what we need is different than what their needs were. Ours needs to be much broader in scope, and much better organized, if we're to essentially reverse the historical trajectory this country is on at present.
They could post it at the top the same way they posted the links to videos or the FReepathon ticker.
Let the posting police criticisms roll off your back.

Maybe you can give us an answer? I saw on the yahoo groups site that there was a hard crash and John had to go deal with it. Is all okay now? It seems to be running better.

We all missed this site incredibly and thank you immensely for what you dofor us! This is a small bastion of sanity in a world gone Zero crazy.
Yesterday several right wing sites were down, to name a few (some still down) AntiIdiotarian Rottweiler, Michelle Malkins Email, SlickBarry.com, StopObama.com and Obama Watch.
Really. Now, that's a cause for deep concern.
If the left/libs think they can fire one across our bow and suffer no response, then they've never studied history. A shot like that will seriously mobilize our side if we find that they intentionally attacked us.
There was NO info on why FR was down on alternate sites! I was saying that on THIS “vanity’ thread there was information that there WERE other sites to go to, information that many Freepers didn’t have.
You just don’t respond to many of the concerns on this thread and just maybe it was good to have this thread to have this conversation.

I think that may have been a DU-er. I was looking for info about FR possibly being hacked and ended up at DU where all kinds of bizarre theories were going around.
1 was that the ATF, FBI and Sec.Svc. had arrested Jim & John forallowing threats against Zero. Then there were threads that said theypulled things because they realized they had a ton of exposure from their posters posting about the big Zero...all kinds of freaky things.
since this thread is a vanity that is a waste of time and FR space, guess it is totally worthless.
However, what this thread is doing is giving a forum to discuss pertinent posts like yours. Maybe we can get information as to where to go and how to read/post there and offer encouragement to those of us who tried to navigate those alt sites.
I went onto the alt sites several times throughout the day, and maybe I just didn’t understand “how ‘ to navigate it cause I did not see the movement of posts. I apapreciate what Jelibn did and will try to utilize that again if this happens. thanks for your post to help others.

I was thinking *some* FReepers probably never went 26 mph in a 25 mph zone.
The mods are here to delete threads and accounts if necessary. Judging from the replies a lot of people were interested in what happened yesterday. If a thread irritates you, move on like most of us do.
A quick check shows you have posted about 30 times on this “vanity” thread. You also went off topic on the football thread yesterday to discuss FR’s downtime. With all due respect, what does a football thread have to do with politics? Isn’t that kind of like a vanity? So you see how this works? A little leeway is given here and there. It seems to me that every time you post you are violating the “simple and reasonable request” rule you keep harping on.

So in other words a vanity thread is ok if the Admin Mod does it, but not when someone else does?
