Time for a major Third Party to form: Sarah Palin to lead it

Sarah Palin can be the candidate in 2012. She is the only one who has a strong enough following to form another major political party.

I don’t want the government in the bedroom of adults. But if the government is issuing marriage licenses, I don’t want the government changing and corrupting the concept of marriage and giving homosexuals a marriage license.

I've been a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, and now the Republican again. I been looking at the New Whig Party and the Constitution Party and the Falcon Party. I'm staying in the GOP for now!!

Fairly ridiculous, considering that the last social conservative GOP nominee was Reagan (yes he was a fiscal conservative and a hawk, too). In addition, the anti-gay marriage amendments win all around the country, and most folks oppose Roe vs. Wade's provisions. The no same sex marriage amendment won in FL by two to one, while McCain lost, and is winning in California, while McCain was crushed.

There are huge numbers of people who actually would like to see much smaller government and much less regulation, who vote Democrat because they are appalled by the “social conservative” stuff, which really just boils down to more government meddling.

Exactly... my friend is a democrat CONSERVATIVE and he can't stand the Republicans because of social conservatives. Another friend is a Democrat and he owns a business and he is a Dem because the Dems are ok with gay people. Are we? No, we aren't.

Sorry, Social Conservatives, but you caused us to lose. We need to rebuild the GOP and we need to bring the REAGAN DEMOCRATS into the Party.

:-) I knew I wasn’t the only one!! The candidates we had running this year all had flaws — Huckabee wanted people to eat Healthy (sorry Huck, but if I want a Big Mac, it is my choice), Romney was great but he had a flaw, Fred Thompson didn’t seem that he wanted to be in the race and some of the others were to boring.
