Did the choice of Sarah Palin show a strong, sober mind?

“The American voter wanted to vote in the first African American. It's really that simple.”

I think that's true to some degree. For the most part though greed seemed to motivate most people. He made pie in the sky promises and now people think they will get paid more and their bills with disappear.

No!!! She is the only reason I voted for McCain. I was, for the first time in my life, not going to vote (live in MD. + wasn’t really excited by John McCain) BUT when he chose her, I got really excited and felt passionate for the first time.
We need to look at this loss as an opportunity!! To blame the far left for the coming situation, because they are totally in charge!!! 2010 we can come back!! Look at this loss as a great opportunity to show why we are right!

I worked the phones for McCain...
I held signs on election day...
I talked to my friends to vote for McCain...
I endured numorous slurs, insults, and middle-fingers...

AND THE ONLY REASON I PUT UP WITH THIS WAS FOR PALIN!!!!

AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN FOR HER!!!!

NO! lord McCain feingold himself... sadly he was seduced by the media whores flowering him, as he spent the past 7 + years, bashing Bush and RUMMY into thinking they would 'fund' his campaign after he handed over to them the power to fund presidential campaigns....

I wish he would retire and I would NOT have to ever hear another word out his delusional mouth. I voted today for SARAH, as lord McCain was not going to get my vote.

I remember the past 8 years of this ugly man bashing President Bush, accusing our military of torture, poking his finger in Rummy's eye every opportunity he got... Not even his good friend Powell stayed with him.

And what happened to those supposed PUMA's ?

Without Palin he would have gone down in flames like Mondale. Palin was the shot of adrenalin that Republicans needed. It was really her show, people flocked to see her, not McCain. I predicted McCain would be another Dole if he was chosen and he would suffer the same fate. You die hard types can forget Ron Paul, he isn’t Churchill or Adenauer, he’s too old to impress the American voter in this day and age. They don’t want Grampa, they want a Rock Star.

Michael Reagan's words now come back to haunt me.

Back in '96, Michael said that as soon as he found out that Charlie Black was going to be Phil Gramm's campaign manager, he immediately crossed out Gramm as far as being a viable Presidential candidate was concerned.

Mike explained that the problem with Black is that he runs the campaign as if his guy had already been elected President of the United States.

When I learned that Black was the senior advisor to McCain, I thought, "Oh sh*t, that can't be good...".

I proudly cast my vote for the only conservative candidate in the election, Sarah Palin. I choose to blame the propaganda wing of the Communist Party.

They selected Obama over Hillary, then they selected Obama over Mac.

They repeatedly raped Sarah and her wonderful family while never vetting Obama.

I will never believe or trust words transmitted by the MSM/DBM including Faux News. I will not give them one more dime of my money. I have cancelled all subscriptions to magazines and newspapers. I no longer watch TV except sports.

I miss WFB and RR so much.

Absolutely right. McCain is not a conservative; Palin rallied the base.

For you RINOs and libertarian leaning ones, you don’t have enough to win. Apparently the conservatives don’t either. We, ultimately, need each other more than we are willing to admit.

A house divided against itself cannot stand...and gets Obama.

Palin was wonderful and HELPED the Base
Mccain fought an honorable fight and not once sunk to be a base, classless man ( at least that I saw)
Sometimes, the good lose a battle.
And if they lose, sometimes they lose because they played by the rules.
We got outspent because Obama lied about Campaign finance
We watched Obama lie, pontificate and change his story repeatedly to make promises he cant deliver on. Ie- anything for a vote.
It worked. People are heartsick that we’ve been at war. People are scared because they are hopeless. Obama played to that- I mean really- he offered’ Hope” and they jumped on it.
The people need to earn a good leader- tonight, they have proven they want someone who tells them what they want to hear and looks good on TV.

It shouldnt be that Mccain was too nice.
He played fair and lost.
Take heart.
We win the war.

Yes; Sarah Palin rejuvenated McCain’s campaign. Had he not chosen her, he’d have been completely out in the cold.

Your question shows a hidden agenda.

If you can’t acknowledge Palin’s superior qualities, either you can’t tell the truth or you can’t think.

Because of Palin, my wife who could have cared less, is now actively Republican and so is my neighbor. Go figure.

That is just a microcosm of what I have seen changed because of Palin.

To blame her and not the limp wristed, big spending, phony republicans is just ridiculous.

This blame Palin crap is going to only further energize her bid for 2012, keep it up.

Sarah was the only glimmer of hope during this entire election season. She is an incredible woman who gave every bit of her energy and effort. She never gave up. I will support her in any future political endeavor.
