Ahhh ... thank you for the Warm Fuzzy Graphic and "The Winner".
Hope you are having a Warm Fuzzy Wednesday, LadyJ.
I plan to have a chocolate sundae ready for Marissa when she gets home.
That should help her to realize that life goes on.

I am watching another, sometimes nose to nose through the glass , stare off between my adult kitty, Silky, and the tom turkey visitor..I have a big smile on my face and wish I could share the moment..I am amused at this curious interaction.
A squirrel is taking advantage of the distraction and eating up the seeds I put out for tom t..
Leaves are beginning to cover the patio..signaling that fall is really here. (It’s 82 outside)..

Cats’ immense curiosity sure gets them to meet animals like no other. They have dog friends, rabbit friends, horse friends, mule, donkeys, cows, deer, rats, and I even have a photo of one hanging out with a big bear. I love that they can do that. Many animals a cat will befriend are much larger than the cat. Cats are Zen or something.
Cats for president!

This cat would be an appetizer for the bear.
What is it about cats that they can make this happen and live through it?
Whatever it is, I sure would like to learn it.

Great picture..I would love to learn it, too!
I have loved cats since my first memories. I have some years without one..but always manage to get another eventually.

IMHO they manage to find me. Even when I'm not looking for one, a cat will come along and adopt me.
I think they're brilliant. They're the only animal that has never been domesticated, and has thrived and prospered throughout every corner of the world as a homeboy or fierce hunter, or both.
They stay with us out of choice, not necessity, and that's pretty charming.

To All Of The Cat~People Of Amy's Place
Discovery Haiku

Busy day, today.
Found a way out of The Box.
Did it all myself!
The Box tipped over
on my last attempt. I must
learn to leap higher
So much room outside!
Everything seems do big
and I am so small
My paws lead the way
on this sojourn into the
intriguing unknown
A land of light and
shadow. So many things I
do not understand
Our Pretty One lives
here. All of the Big Things, I
guess, belong to her
Inviting Sunlight
streams from some place way up high.
A future challenge!
This spot on the floor
looks very comfortable.
Perhaps, I should rest?
So many things to
ponder. Mother will have the
answers I desire

Thank you, JD. No one gets inside the fuzzy little head of a kitten quite like you do. :-)

Wildlife can be awsome - in so many ways. Sometimes beautiful and curious, while other times, a bit scary.
A mountain lion got a little dog near me, a few days ago - and sometimes, I think the safest place is inside my house, with doors closed. (And I was glad my glass patio door was closed, when a bob-cat pushed his nose up against it several months ago.)
