FR’s so slow today I can’t handle it on my poor connection.
Will check in again sometime tonight and see if it’s any better, though I suspect it will only get worse.
No one?!!! How does that compare to past elections?
There were fewer at my poll than usual, no lines and only about 20% of the voting booths were occupied, a bit less than last election.
I wasn’t here in 2004..fewer than in 2000..I have never faced a long line. I picked my time to go..when the lunch crowd has cleared and before the getting off work voters come. There were a few coming in as I left the parking lot.
We do have early voting here, too
I had to take in the kittens for booster shots today and passed another church polling place close to me..We have convenient polling places in our area.
Just heard on the news that some lines are as long as five to seven hour waits, and telling people to stay put. (How would they hear that if they are in line?)

Jim R just posted a suggestion..Go to Account preferences..change views to 20..eliminate unnecessary sidebars..It will help you load FR..I have a lot of cannot display,etc pages when I try to get on FR..as do others.

Yorkie, I waited in line one hour and the line was not even one block long. My precinct and the adjacent precincts are overwhelmingly Democrat.
I looked at my voting stub and I was number 94. With 6 or 7 voting booths, I have to say those people take a long time to vote. I was ready on everything and only needed to check my ink blots one time and I was done.

It REALLY helped after I got rid of my too many sidebar blocks..
.My TV has not been turned on all day..I plan on watching the news about 10 here tonight..or later..I know I am in good company on FR and my watching the news is not going to change a thing.
Dinner time here..
I’m not going to watch, either, Meg. 10pm news - that’s it. I’ve got egg rolls and rice, with steak, green pepper and onion stir fry getting ready for dinner. I make hot mustard out of the dry mustard, and use orange marmalade for the sweet and sour sauce for the egg rolls. OMG, it is sooooo good!

I’m not watching..It helps me not to. I can change nothing by watching..
