Yorkie, that is so lovely! Gosh, it must mean a lot to you to have such a pleasant poem by your Mom. It has such a lovely message that we all should try more “smiling”. Its so healthy too, especially when it develops into a belly laugh.

It is so dark here, its scary! It has been that way for a while now. They had tornadoes in North Carolina today. I’m not quite sure which part of North Carolina, but sometimes it does become quite dark before a tornado. It has been windy all day also. Kinda frightening when you’re alone, isn’t it?

I am supposed to meet everyone at the Restaurant at 7 this evening. Hope it clears a little by then!

Definitely keyboard’s fault....I don’t make (meestaks)! Leaving here in minutes to go eat fish....Mmmmmm! I’m hungry.

A while after I made the last report, I went outside and saw smoke to the south-east. This is from new fires in Orange County. So now, L.A. is surrounded by fires. The other fires are west, north-west.

I can smell the smoke and see it being blown to the west, over the ocean.

We are predicted to have temps in the high 80s through Monday, with continued LOW humidity.

Our firefighting resources are stretched, and I expect out-of-staters will be called in.

Thanks, everyone, for your concern. I am in an okay area.

I was on the Montecito thread ...someone pooted that they had lost two houses and his cat was not to be found when the police ordered him to leave NOW. Then the Sylmar fire took over..I hope you are not getting to much smoke where you are..I hate these fires.
I thought of you and missed your posting.
