I’m sure you will be happy; I hear nothing but good things about Apples.

I will be looking forward to your thoughts regarding a PC VS an Apple.

Me too - did the dishes - our D/W is kaput. :(

Sometimes our D/W is kaput too. Nonetheless, I wash 'em when I'm not kaput. :)

I am so looking forward to a Mac! I am so tired of windows smacking my hand or cutting off in the middle of what I’m doing due to an internal error, then smacking my hand again because windows was not properly shut down. It’s just a matter of time until it crashes and I lose everything. And, Yes, I back up regularly.

Getting a laptop. I’m really looking forward to that!

I’ll let you know in a couple of days when I figure out how to use it!

You put into words exactly my very own feelings. I go though that all the time....'they' shut me down and then tell me I didn't close down properly.....give me a break!

Hey! How did the tooth work out? I haven’t been online too much the past few days. (Haven’t read all the pings yet, or the previous posts.)

Hope you are doing well, JC! (I am still wearing a temporary bridge for a tooth I lost right next to my front tooth! Once I get everything organized here, I will get a permanent bridge.)

For the Ladies

In The Gallery Of My Mind

Soft the night does cradle thee,
in peace to rest my love.
And as the hours fly away and flee,
I watch you, and dream so sweet thereof.

Your hair drifts in the evening breeze,
to lay with soft abandon on your cheek.
Such a sight that holds my breath as it does tease,
fixing an image in my mind, forever that I will seek.

Frameless art hung in the gallery of my mind,
forever on display, always there for me alone.
A one woman show, a long life to run and remind,
created by a Master’s hand, my joy to sweetly hone.

For the guys (and Gals who ride)

Rigid Roadway Blues

250 wide tire rigid steel frame,
127 C.I. Evo engine on fire.
6-speed Trans that never tires,
and howling for its bit of fame.

400 miles war on you at day’s end,
and you step off the bike, an older man.
Your back feels the miles mortal span,
and you hope again, that time will mend.

Another motel moment, echo other times,
if there’s any hot water you’ll soak away the miles.
Diner food, waitress eyes that wonder at your smile,
promising nothing, and everything, sometimes.

I hear the roadway blues singing in my mind,
coloring my dreams with time’s pallet.
I shift, and ache with the touch of age’s mallet,
the image of a soft-tail ride never far behind.

The Person Makes The Place
God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. —Revelation 21:3-4

Engaged couples often spend hours poring over travel brochures and vacation Web sites looking for just the right honeymoon spot. They can hardly wait for their romantic getaway. But it’s not so much about the place; it’s about being with the person they love.

We get used to places no matter how glorious they are. But being with a person who loves us never gets old!

In Revelation, John paints a beautiful picture of what heaven will be like. But it’s not really about the place—it’s about the Person we’ll be with. The day is coming when Jesus will come to take us to be with Him in the place He has prepared for us. And the wonderful news is that He says: “Behold, I am coming quickly!” (22:7).

If you’re thinking, He may come back for others, but surely not for me, don’t miss verse 17: “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” Anyone is welcome to join the wedding feast. All we have to do is believe in the One who died for us, Jesus Christ, the Lover of our souls.

Make no mistake, the place—heaven—will be incredible beyond our dreams. But our greatest joy will be the experience of being with Jesus forever!

He will take me to be with Him
In His happy Home above,
Where no sin or pain can enter,
And all is joy and love. —Anon.

The greatest aspect of heaven will be spending eternity with Jesus.

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.
