I don't know if this is psychobabble or not, but it would explain many things.

The techniques mentioned seemed to be attempted in most political speeches, but never as well as the Big O does it.

Most political speeches have at least one section where they ... and if they're lucky the audience ... repeat some refrain.

It is amazing to me how boring some politicians are to listen to. That is really the only thing they have to do is read speeches. You think that we would have many more Obama's by now, but evidently politicians are not particularly stellar performers.

I haven’t looked at your video yet...but anyone who has studied NLP, meta themes, psychology, or African religion/anthropology knows that Obama is using hypnosis (or, if you are Kenyan, “Whoodo”) to cast his spell on America.

What do you think that thrill is that ran up Chris Matthews leg?

“Sixteen months have passed (paused) “Thousands” (pause) “of miles” (pause) “Millions of voices”.

And a partridge in a pear tree.

I thought he just spoke slowly so his followers would have some chance of understanding him. Don’t want to go to fast and lose them, do we?

I think Barney uses this too.

I swear I have seen toddlers just stop what they were doing and swoon when Barney comes on.

Barack and Barney, using hypnosis.

I think greed, idiocy and laziness explains more.

It's time for people to quit making excuses for 0bama supporters they know and understand that they like Socialism/Communism. They want it.

I disagree with this analysis.

There is a specific technique used, but it’s one based on the Alinsky philosophy.

You say basically nothing substantial, but you needle the audience with things designed to irritate, then a few spacer phrases, then offer change. Th epoint is to make the audience feel bad, then offer vagueness that sounds good, comforting.

People fill in the blanks according to their outlook, or, if you will, mirror their own wants, needs, and personality in the speaker’s vagueness, seeing what they want to see.

They think the speaker has addressed their desires, when actually nothing real was said.

“Do you want another four years of failed policies? Of course not. I offer hope, and change”.

“Somewhere tonight a child goes to bed hungry, in a neighborhood rattled by gunfire. Is this the America we deserve? I offer change, change for the future, change you can believe in”.

I used to call this “mirror propaganda” but I suspect there is another name for it.

About a week ago or so, there was article posted around these parts on this topic. I read it but the video makes the point clearly. It is not strange that, for most of us anyway ,this is the first national election in which one candidate is likened to Hitler and the tactics of Hitler for a take over almost down to the quotations themselves? IT is pretty shocking and frightening to say the least.
Such a take over can be done more easily in a Godless country and the left, for some time now, has been working hard to make America one such country and it is up to us to stop it.

Was Rush getting close to this when he discussed the reverberation Obama's sound systems are now imparting to his speeches....almost like he's speaking from a mountain top?

(.....thunder rolling and lightning flashes filling the sky, arms and eyes uplifted.......)

There is something about the way that Obama speaks that effects me. I walk away and don’t know what the hell he said...I just remember his tones. I guess I get bored easily.

What about the repeated uses of “um”, “uh”, and “you know”? All of Obama’s stammering would put anyone asleep.
