His eyes glow ghoulishly in the right light, just like any other cat's - but so do his nostrils, gums and tongue.
Mr Green Genes of New Orleans in the U.S. is the country's first 'glow in the dark' ginger tom.
In daylight he looks normal, but put him in a darkened room and switch on an ultraviolet light, and his face will beam out a bright green.
The six-month-old cat was created by scientists who are trying to combat a range of diseases such as cystic fibrosis.
They modified his DNA to see if a gene could be introduced harmlessly into an animal's genetic sequence.
[snip]
The Nobel Prize in Chemistry was this month awarded to the three scientists who had discovered the glowing gene through working with jellyfish.

Back in college, i worked summers for a Vet. I have come across some very lovable cats (mostly because they acted like dogs) but when you work around sick and hurt animals, you quickly realize that dogs show appreciation for your kindness. Cats don’t. And have you ever tried to deal with a feral cat? Good luck and bring thick bite proof gloves that extend to your shoulders.

I use to piss people off on FARK (the site can burn in hell) by posting pictures of how the Chinese like to prepare their cat. There's this picture which I just love posted below. Some people like cat how we like cow. And no, I don't "purposely" target cats while on the road. I have no control over the fact that they seem to think my car is a huge mouse. Probably doesn't help that I actually decorated my car to look like a big mouse. :P

I am sure the Mouse and Rat Coalition are lobbying hard to make all cats glow in the dark.

I am a total dog person and yes, I have 'dealt with' feral cats.
Here's my latest rescue dog, for whom I held a benefit auction and bankrupted myself for the balance to get her and her sister out of a shelter in CA to MD [her sister went to NE];

She's an Ibizan Hound/Portuguese Podengo mix.
She came here with double pneumonia and a host of other health issues.
She's now wonderfully healthy and happy.
[and a very grateful, lovable, beloved "mutt"]....;)

Get some wintergreen Lifesavers, stand in front of a mirror in a dark room and *crunch* them with your mouth open.
Fireworks!
Whee!
