Yep, the calendar sez it is October, so ... I guess it is!!
Hard to believe here, as the high L.A. temp yesterday was 99 and we are baking again today. We may be about to have “Indian summer.”

Whoa, 99 degrees! It’s been humid here but not too bad. We’ll cool down in the next few days.
I’ll be back later. I wish you a great day!

I am FReeping from an undisclosed location:), not from home.
We may be getting our hottest weather of the year this month. It has been the pattern for the past few years that we have a heat wave in October. Unfortunately, that also spells F-I-R-E, as I saw one started in the forest north of us this morning....
We had high humidity, which I truly hate, the past two months and now the heat is more desert-like.
I hope you get your 70s and 80s soon. (((Hugs)))

Good morning - such a lovely way to start the new thread - pretty picture, pretty poem. Fall is definitely in the air - hayfever is in full bloom, and the temperatures have been below 90. Woo Hoo! Started wearing reg'lar long jeans again instead of shorts.
And I LOVE the Fall Colors!

Thank you for today's message, Rus.
It really touched me this morning.
I have heard that my niece is in trouble again.
Police seem to be concerned that she may want her kids.
I've notified the school but I am still concerned.
Please say a prayer for Marissa and me today.
Also, pray that my niece will get her life turned around.
Thanks for listening, Rus.

Good morning, Polly.
We have been enjoying summer type weather.
A cooling trend should start tomorrow.
We may even get a few sprinkles this week-end.
Wishing you a Warm and Fuzzy Wednesday!

Dalmation Day! I love it! My—how appropriate—October’s Gypsy Lady been dead 15 years and I still miss the stupid dog. :(
Some dogs just wrap themselves around your heart.

Happy Fall, Luv.
Thank you for "Autumn Blue".
I always enjoy Fall.
It is such a relief after the hot days of summer.
Happy Wednesday.

Catch of the Day:
Little Johnny’s at it again..... A new teacher was trying to make use of her psychology courses. She started her class by saying, ‘Everyone who thinks they’re stupid, stand up!’ After a few seconds, Little Johnny stood up. The teacher said, ‘Do you think you’re stupid, Little Johnny?’ ‘No, ma’am, but I hate to see you standing there all by yourself!’
* * * * * * * * * * *
Little Johnny watched, fascinated, as his mother smoothed cold cream on her face. ‘Why do you do that, mommy?’ he asked. ‘To make myself beautiful,’ said his mother, who then began removing the cream with a tissue. ‘What’s the matter?’ asked Little Johnny. ‘Giving up?’
* * * * * * * * * * *
The math teacher saw that little Johnny wasn’t paying attention in class. She called on him and said,
‘Johnny! What are 2 and 4 and 28 and 44?’ Little Johnny quickly replied, ‘NBC, FOX, ESPN and the Cartoon Network!’
* * * * * * * * * * *
Little Johnny’s kindergarten class was on a field trip to their local police station where they saw pictures tacked to a bulletin board of the 10 most wanted criminals. One of the youngsters pointed to a picture and asked if it really was the photo of a wanted person. ‘Yes,’ said the policeman. ‘The detectives want very badly to capture him.’Little Johnny asked, ‘Why didn’t you keep him when you took his picture ?’
See Ya.

I haven’t had these cookies for 4 or 5 year. I love them but have never made them. I think I will make some for Christmas.
