Well I would love to know exactly what Johnny Knows It is all about. First I though of Johnny Cakes, but no, thats not casseroles....you can inform all of us later. Im sure Im not the only one who hasnt heard of it. It's a ground meat and macaroni casserole - sauted green pepper, celery, onion - tomato soup, mushroom soup, tomatoe puree, sliced green olives, and topped with grated cheese (optional) and baked until hot and cheese is melted. Probably has a bunch of different names and variations - I would have thought, being from the south, you'd know it by that name. :)
I had fried oysters for dinner last night....delicious! Bet you dont like them, huh?
No, I actually don't really like fish, shellfish, or seafood at all. Except for salmon croquettes, and I'm choosy about who cooks them! ('cause I only like red sockeye - not pink salmon) And I also like 'some' tuna salad (mine). :)

Awwwww, sweet kitty goodnight picture. :)

Just wanted to say hello to you, polly. Don't see you often. :)

Hi, Conor - Happy Tuesday back atcha!
To: Aquamarine
I do hope to be able to spend more time here with you all. I'm glad to hear that!
As you know I'm not a poet but may illustrate a few songs here and there. Seem to understand lyrics better than prose.
Well, to be honest, me too for the most part. :)
To: LUV W
Whew! I seem to have taken the long way around today - I'm just now 'back' to where I started the day with the opening post.
Thank you for the compliment - and love your little smiley playing in the leaves. :) I think I have an autumn smiley (love those smiley guys!)
I keep raking them in piles and you keep messing them up again! :)

....A self-taught painter, Jim Warren defies artistic category. He is a most unusual artist. Oh, Dolly, that is jaw-dropping AMAZING! The couple in the clouds, the wave that became a horse, the water that became a blanket that became water pouring over a 'dam'. Awesome! Thanks for posting it here.

An Old Wisconsin Farmer's Almanac Advice
* Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.
* Keep skunks and bankers and lawyers at a distance.
* Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.
* A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.
* Words that soak into your ears are whispered...not yelled.
* Meanness don't jes' happen overnight.
* Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads.
* Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.
* It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.
* You cannot unsay a cruel word.
* Every path has a few puddles.
* When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
* The best sermons are lived, not preached.
* Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.
* Don't judge folks by their relatives.
* Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
* Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get
older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.
* Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't botherin' you none.
* Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
* If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.
* Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.
* The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches
you from the mirror every mornin'.
* Always drink upstream from the herd.
* Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.
* Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in.
* If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some
influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.
* Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.
