Was the Stephenville UFO a National Security Threat? american chronicle Franklin D. Fields, Jr. Esq. Stephenville, Texas attracted worldwide attention earlier this year (Jan, 08) after residents sighted an unidentified flying object (UFO) that some say was a mile long. By news accounts, there were more than 30 residents to specifically report the sighting. It was front-page headlines in a large number of news forums. Many of the witnesses were interviewed on national television programs such as CNN´s Larry King Live.
All of the witnesses were credible and none were shown to be perpetrating a hoax. They might have been mistaken, but that seems unlikely since so many people saw the same object. Also, other evidence is available to corroborate their story. There was obviously something flying over Stephenville that might be a national security threat. Why will our government not take this incident seriously?
Steve Allen, a 50-year-old pilot, said that the object was "a mile long and half a mile wide" and that "I don't know if it was a biblical experience or somebody from a different universe or whatever but it was definitely not from around these parts." There is no disputing that Mr. Allen is a credible witness who saw a strange craft and then reported it to authorities. The U.S. Air Force was made aware of the sighting, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) knows about it and even Homeland Security was contacted. However, no official Federal Government Agency has looked into the matter or conducted an official investigation, why not?

Thanks for the ping!
Jesus Christ in His resurrected body was abld to walk through walls, translate over vast distances, not confused with a spirit, witnessed by over 500 people on one occasion, witnessed in multiple situations, and was able to be touched and felt by His disciples (doubting Thomas), and he ate fish in that body.
Our physics today doesn’t explain that phenomenon, but it definitely was physical.
Oh yeah?! Well how do you explain those lights in the sky out by the airport? Or those truck-like noises coming from down by the highway?!
THANKS
The evidence from many, many reports
indicates
that your uninformed assumptions are greatly flawed.
That phenomena has been explained.
Actually, also, I don’t know of reports where the craft from 10-30 feet relatively slowly moving instantly sped off at near or beyond light speed. They commonly do such from significantly higher up.
The lack of sonic boom has been explained in the literature many times.
I’ll probably tend to color you
sooooooooooooooooooooooo
IN LOVE WITH a TYPE II ERROR
that a TYPE I error will frequently cause you plenty of troubles in life.
Fund and build the Neutral Zone NOW!
First thing I noticed was the wrong use of THEIR. They call it THERE photos. Sigh.
Admit it - you’re an alien, aren’t you??
I will own this . . .
This world is not my home.
We had a lawyer in our town who was always called “Squire B____.” (B is the first initial of his name.)
You know what..your right and after further reflection it could be considered North Texas. Its sort of border line.
A fish swimming in water is not aware of the water, because he is immersed in it.
If the object could use technology that creates a force field around it...it wouldn't displace any air when it moved.
Yeah, probably taking the pictures with holographic cameras or something ;-)
That’s one most likely explanation.
Would you consider that the same as ionizing/plasmatizing the air in a thin layer around it?
Hi Quix....
Yes I would. Anything that can eliminate the friction caused by any object’s movement through the atmosphere would explain the lack of sonic booms.
Plasmatizing....sort of like coating a plane with K-Y Jelly...LOL!
I was a college secretary for 28 years and believe me, I’ve seen all the mistakes one can make, doing student papers years ago before computers, and editing professors’ letters and other work. They aren’t too great at it either. LOL.

“The Flying Saucers Are Real”
Donald E. Keyhoe
1897-1988
Brief Biography
Donald E. Keyhoe was born in Ottumwa, Iowa, on June 20, 1897. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, in the Class of 1920, with a B.S. degree and the commission of a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. The young Lieutenant became a Naval aviator, piloting both balloons and airplanes in the period between the World Wars. After a night crash at Guam, he retired from active duty and began freelance writing. During the 1930s and early 1940s Keyhoe wrote fictional aviation adventure stories for then popular pulp magazines. He also wrote factual articles for major newsstand magazines of the time such as Saturday Evening Post, Cosmopolitan, American, Redbook, and True. During the late 1940s and early 1950s, Keyhoe personally test-flew a wide variety of aircraft and evaluated their performance and features for True Magazine. When the first “flying saucer” sightings were reported in June of 1947, Keyhoe, as an experienced aviator was skeptical. But when True asked him to investigate in 1949 and he interviewed numerous fliers as well as military officers in the Pentagon, he discovered that expert observers had seen the unexplained discs, many at close range. His article “Flying Saucers Are Real” in the January 1950 issue of True became one of the most widely read and discussed articles in publishing history, and caused a sensation. The article was expanded into a paperback book. In January 1957 Keyhoe had become Director of the newly formed National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) in Washington, D.C., which under his leadership gave serious publicity to the UFO mystery through the 1960s and encouraged Congressional hearings.
