Dr. Laura just gave a scathing speech about Palin
Radio | September 2, 2008 | Hildy

Posted on 09/02/2008 12:49:47 PM PDT by Hildy

I'm sick to my stomach. Although I knew she was going to have to do this..she does take a point of view and she does stick to it, I'm still just sick to my stomach. And for those here who dismiss this woman, you couldn't be more wrong..her books sell like wildfire, her shows sell out and alot of women take what she says as the gospel.

She did say she would still vote for McCain, but she said she wished there was a third party to vote for.

And for those of you who want to attack me for reporting this here, please, please direct your anger elsewhere. I'm not the problem.

I'll post the blog when she uploads it. It's not there yet, but she said on her show she' put it up.

I stopped listening to this sour, angry bitch after years of bragging how “religious” she was, she admitted that she didn’t really keep kosher or Shabbat.

A 17 year old girl has sex with her boyfriend and gets pregnant, decides to keep the baby and they’ll be married. This just seems commonplace to me. Am I wrong?

I think you are concerning the 'get married' portion and to some degree the 'keep the baby' part.

When I was a teenie bopper it was common though.

Personally, I applaud her/their decision.

The MSM and dim's handling of this is beyond disgusting.

Was Dr. Laura standing in front of her glass house when she gave it?

BUT Dr. Laura says all the time as long as one parent is home its fine with her. So this seems inconsistent.

Dr. Laura has been pushing highly questionnable, and commissionable, “brain scan” treatments and other snake-oil stuff for the last couple of years.
I’ve known people who have blown $6k or more, and gotten very little back in results that I can see.

She has zero credibility.

It would not surprise me to learn that she was closet liberal. She certainly has no problem wanting things both ways, as many libs do.

Think I'll wait to read the transcript since I didn't hear her comments. ... But she is in radio to make money and build listenership for her show. Pop Psychology is like soda pop, leave the lid off long enough and it's just sugar water. And pop Psychologists have had the lid off far too long to be palpable.

I didn’t know we were voting for Bristol.

Ronald Reagan should’ve been rejected on the basis of Ron Jr. and Patti if that was the standard we are using.

Didn’t she pose in full bushy skankiness for her BBF back when she was a young adult? Imagine the really strange predicaments young women can get themselves into.

Dr. Laura hates women. She hates that she is a woman herself...she wants to be a man.

I am amazed at the number of people posting here who can read minds. Can you talk to the dead, too? Maybe Sylvia Browne should be worried about her day job. Seriously, your personal perceptions are not reality. Better to stick with the facts rather than play guessing games with the unspoken thoughts and motivations of other people. Unless of course, you do have "the gift." JMO.

"Dr. Laura is an idiot."

No. Dr. Laura is the quintessential example of a legalist.

She doesn't know Jesus, therefore she could read his words a thousand times, and not understand them:

"I desire mercy not sacrifice." ~ Jesus (Matt.12:7)

sure she can judge others behavior but her credibility suffers for having committed youthful mistakes of her own. she has paid over the years, you say AmericaninDairyland. well bristol palin’s mistake is front page news across the world this weekend, guess she is paying for her’s as well. i just think someone who made news for a youthful mistake might have been more judicious to keep her yap shut in this regard.

Here is how I see prominent women not embracing Palin.

If you put Pelosi, Dowdd, Patricia Ireland, Dr.Laura, Babs Streisand, et al....... into a forum where cameras are turned on, guess who gets all the attention?

Any additional explanation needed?

Dr. Laura is a raving witch. I have been able to listen to about 10 minutes of her total.

What the hell happened to Free Republic?

It’s become libertine central.

If a woman values children over her career, she’s not welcome here or in the Republican Party.

I would consider Dr. Laura to be a “conservative voice”, but I think that her view reflects a very small minority on this issue.

I like Governor Palin. I think McCain has made a very good choice, which is both strategically shrewd and practical, as well.
