Lovely, Meg. Thank you.

I need to leave soon to do some last minute picnic stuff.

Have a Terrific Thursday!

Go Governor Palin.

Woa - it’s one of those, “How’d they DO that?” enigmas.

(I think it’s because they are all so ‘scruffy’....)

I’m sorry that I didn’t get all the posts answered.

FR seems to be really slow today.

I need to run a couple of errands.

Hope everyone is having a Great Day.

After last night, .... I feel great.

Isn't that the neatest animation! I always like to see how the realistic animations are made and that one had such smooth movements. Whoever 'made' that elephant do those crazy flips and stuff was very talented and creative and with relatively few frames. Good find, LadyJ!

See it a little larger and with 'sound' at YouTube!

Speaking of elephants, did anyone see "Greatest American Dog" last Wednesday? They had a 'challenge' for the owners and their dogs that involved an elephant lumbering towards the dog while they were supposed to "STAY" in this small circle! A little Maltese was the smallest and the most courageous! He "SAT" there while the elephant was close enough to pick up a banana a few feet away from him!

FR is still so unstable I can't take it. I just don't have the patience to wait it out.

Your graphic captures so well our convention fever after last night. I'm going to save it for future use! Thanks.

BTW, I keep getting timed-out or logged off. Is this true for everyone?

This tom looks like him..and he spreads his wings like this.
He came about 3 times..last time he walked right up to me and
seemed so tame..I have seen turkeys before here..a mom and 2
chicks years ago..I have a new neighber who says he brought him
from another residence..not very far away ..calls him his protector..
The turkey was out in my front lawn that day.Beautiful glints of
color off the feathers.

Don't tell me Central Casting has sent over possums and raccoons to join the javelinas. You'll be able to start a zoo in the not distant future! Really cute.

Amy, you've become a master at assembling graphics, poetry, quotes and photos to fit our themes. Nice work. One question: Wasn't it supposed to be Festival of Roses Day too, or did I get all bollixed up again? Well, here goes anyway:

I just don’t have the patience for it. :-(

I don't either, Lori - but wanted to say hello. Yes, I'm sure it's probably at least 10 times worse for dialup. I'm used to slow, but not this unpredictable and slow.

Amy, I read your post from yesterday about compressing graphics. I knew from recent FR mail there were others (besides me!) who had problems with their pc's simply freezing up when there were so many large graphics - especially posted close together.

I hope you won't stay away altogether, az granny, but I did take your name off "my" ping list as you requested.
